Official NBA Thread!

Okay, I will kick things off. I predict that the Suns will make it to the NBA Finals. Go Suns!

Who do you think will make the 8th playoff seed in the west?

Anybody but the Lakers. Probably the Nuggets.

Who are your favorite teams/players and why?

After all the trades and such and watching more games this year, I enjoy watching the Suns, Nuggets, and Bulls

Champs: San Antonio Spurs

Players I hate: Carmelo, Lebron, DWade, Gilbert, Antoine, AI, etc,

Players I like: Jesus, Korver, Lewis, Timmy D, Barry, Kidd, etc

So i'm guessing you can tell the types of players I like eh...?

Geez, you basically hate all the NBA's best players... I can see with Carmelo, but DWade and AI. Are you insane? AI gets beat to **** everynight with basically no other players (now he's got C-Webb and Korver is awesome, but still...) and still puts up 30+ avg. a night. And DWade is the most unselfish player ever and I'd rather have him than Carmelo anyday - he's a gamer. You like Brent Barry over DWade?? WHAT!!??

My main man is C-webb - ****ed that's not a King anymore but I guess it was best - frees up some money and Peja is gonna take it to the house. I still think the Kings can win it all this year. They still have four great scorers (Miller, Bibby, Peja, Mobley) and they have a solid bench now (Bobby Jax, Skinner, Thomas, Songaila) so I think they can win it all.

er....how 'bout them sonics?

(runs back to the Mariners forum)

You hate Lebron? He is one of the most personable and genuine players in the entire league. Not to mention he is arguably the MVP too. It's alright if you're jealous.

Ameechee, your post is ridiculous. I can agree with Carmelo, but Wade and 'Bron do not belong on that list whatsoever. My favorite team is the Suns (have been a fan since 1995), and my favorite player is Kobe. I think the eigth seed in the playoffs will go to LA.

Nash is the MVP, followed by AI. Lebron is third this year and Shaq is 4th.

umm, i wouldnt say Lebron is one of the most "personable" and "genuine" players in the league. he's pretty conceited and not really humble. anyway, hes really talented though. i think either the spurs or suns are gonna win.

My Mavs are for real this year and Dirk the wunderkind will kick Duncan't butt in the playoffs, leading to the first championship in the Mavericks' history.

haha, and then maybe they'll cure cancer.

LOL? It's ridiculous based on my personal opinions? Hokay. In case you haven't noticed, my favorite players happen to be all shooters or floor leaders like Kidd..:) BTW, Bron is quickly making a case for himself, so he may even get off of my sh&t list :)

Anyhoo, i wonder whats gonna happen to your Suns once your starting 5 get tired, injured, and worn out as the season progresses? And who's backing up Nash, who happens to be the one spark plug on this teams offense?

Yep. :) Whatchu gonna do about it?

i still remember the day the lakers signed shaq. now he's gone and the lakers suck =(

Do you really hate them or do you mean you just don't like their game/how they play/attitude? Because that's how i feel with some of the more popular players.

Also, even though players are good doesn't mean they have to be your favorites. I prefer watching some underrated players over superstars/well known.. It all depends. :)

Oh really? Why don't you provide evidence of him being "conceited" and "not really humble." If you actually followed the NBA you would notice that everyone around the league thinks he is a hard-working, no nonsense player.

i dont think i ever said he wasn't hardworking or a no nonsense player. i just think the way he carries himself in a more show offish manner than other great players in the league.

I don't see Lebron as necessarily modest, but at least I don't see with with the thug attitude of other players like AI, Mason, etc.

But you know, Lebron does have "Chosen 1" tattooed across in huge letterse across his back and I've read how his former HS peers in Ohio saw him as excessively arrogant. (Then again, he was amazing for a HS kid...)

btw, ESPN and its entire crew of b-ball pundits need to get off Lebron's sack
