Yea I agree, Syracuse deserved a bid, they are better than a lot of teams in the tourney.

Syracuse has no reason to be upset. They didn't beat anyone out of conference, and until their must-win victory against Georgetown late in the year, they had one quality victory.

If you're comparing them to Villanova, the Wildcats have a better resume.

Syracuse (22-10) Quality Wins: @Marquette, Villanova, Georgetown

Villanova (22-10) Quality Wins: @Georgetown, Notre Dame, Texas, Louisville, Syracuse

Both teams suck though, so it doesn't make much of a difference.

No team has won ten games in their conference and NOT gone to the Big Dance. The selection committee messed up with 'Cuse; there's no way Arkansas should've gotten in.

Drexel got screwed.

VCU over Duke.
Oral Roberts over Washington State.
ODU over Butler

still pondering Villinova over Kansas (2nd round).

ODU over Butler? LOL. Look for AJ Graves, Brandon Crone, and Mike Greene to play huge in this game.

Their record is misleading because they play in a **very weak Pac-10.

Uh huh. Get ready for a rude awakening and some crashed brackets these next few weeks.

Duke is dangerously overrated for sure, VCU will take them out; you don't watch any Washington State basketball if you think they will lose to Oral Roberts, and you're just nuts if you think Butler will lose to Old Dominion.

I'm not even going to comment on Villanova and Kansas...if Kansas makes it past their 1st game, the tournament is basically over.

And yes, Drexel got cheated (so did Akron)!

I thought Syracuse was in, so was W. Virginia. Apparently they are not in and there are far worse teams that are in. That's sad but they won their sucky conference and deserved it (by rule).

There gotta be upsets. There are at least 8,9 upsets every tournament. the commitees aren't Gods, they can't predict the seeds right all the times. I don't think Duke will lose to VCU though!

Butler has no wins since the preseason NIT. Loyola Chicago (who?) took them to OT twice, and beat them once. They lost to Wright State twice. They came out strong and rode it from there. They have been less than impressive recently, IMO. And they are the dreaded 5 seed. At least one 12 seed has won in each of the last 6 years.

I do think Kansas has a chance to win the whole thing. That said I also wouldn't be too surprised if they lost to Villinova. If Kansas comes to play every game, they will be very dangerous, and not be in any danger from Villinova.

And Washington State will probably beat Oral Roberts, but I think Oral Roberts has a chance. You don't get a better bracket than everyone else by picking the favorites =P

I'm still not completely confident in revealing my bracket yet, but I can 100% guarantee that Oral Roberts over Washington State will not happen. I don't think I'm any more confident on any pick than this.

Southern Illinois may go pretty far in the tourney - IMO.

Agree, Sweet 16 probably.

two 12 seeds or worse have made it to the 2nd round in 20 of the last 21 years.

I also like Southern Illinois to the Sweet 16. However, so do lots of people, I mean, they are a 4 seed. If the seeds work how they are supposed to, the 1-4 from each region should make the Sweet 16. I also think they got a pretty easy pod. Easier than Texas and Virginia, and maybe even Maryland.

What about Texas as a 4 seed? I actually have Texas winning it all.

Something about Durant is just special - he's amazing. I've actually been more impressed with his defense than his offense (which is obviously great!)...some people forget about how good he is on defense...he's a lot of fun to watch play.

yea, but that also means if durant doesn't bring his game on EVERY SINGLE MIN, Texas is pretty much over.

i've all the 1st seeds in the final four....but i know that almost never happens

i currently have Wash St. in the elite eight. nobody has seen Wazzu play as much as us West Coast folk, and we know there's a lot to watch out for, despite their "lack of tournament experience". i have them upsetting Georgetown (a big shock to anyone unfamiliar with WSU) and losing to UNC in the elite eight...

dark horse pick, but that's how you win pools.

and of course, UCLA will take down the championship.

UCLA could win it all, but i think they will win up to the point they play Kansas and lose to them. I think Kansas will win it all.

Same; I think Durant is going to pull Kobe Bryants for 5 straight games, and rematch with Kansas in the final.

Texas doesn't have enough help for Durant, I don't think.

how has no one talked about texas A&M--acie law is unreal, and as clutch as any player in the country.
and if you honestly think that wash. st. will beat georgetown, then your west coast bias is laughable. the pac-10 is very very weak--as will be shown this tournament, and georgetown is built for a big run. who's gonna guard the 7'2" roy hibbert, who shoots 70% from the field? and wat about his teammate, who beat hibbert out for big east player of the year? throw in mike wallace and patrick ewing jr....i mean, are you kidding me?
