“glimmer of hope”… that is my common app essay title…

^ plagiarism! XP

@Sickrate A friend was told to pay 24K and another friend was told to increase her contribution. I am not aware of the exact amount but it may be around 14K.

^^ Either enlighten me (and rest of us) … or stop making personal remarks.

Talk about being serious. I guess you didn’t get “XP”. Get enlightened then, “XP”=":P"

^ XP != XP is wayy more fun :D

And i hate supplements too!!!

Any Bard applicants?

Bard. Yes :)

Hey, there’s no ED II thread! lol

Guys! I created a new thread for EDII.

looks like very few people got accepted at ED this year… all the best for EDII, guys!

I realize I am a bit late to post here, but I had applied ED to Brown University and got deferred.

Who applied SCEA to Princeton and got rejected? Lol, I was about to, but I changed my mind, so I hope quantumtunneling wasn’t referring to me. I’m applying in the RD phase with lots of hope.

And I have a feeling I know who HP157 is. Tree-hugging bookworm much? You’ll probably know who I am, but in case you don’t, I’ll let you find out on your own. Don’t you dare say my name out loud on these forums >:P And who is are you, LiberalArtsLover? I might know you.

Anyways, it feels great to join the Nepali community on CC Hope you guys treat me well, heheh.

^oooo i might know the pains of being deferred too. did you send any extra letters/recommendations or just sat back and relaxed (like i did)?? and it’s never too late to join. :)

Well, I had retaken the SAT, and the 310 point boost probably didn’t hurt, and I sent an art portfolio with drawings and photographs as a supplement. I made sure to show continuing interest but Princeton’s my first choice and I’ve applied there RD so I really want to get into Princeton. :)

^wow!! best of luck for Princeton. Penn has mentioned in its website that it does not want any more recos or essays so i sent nothing new against my better judgement. now i am wondering whether i should regret it or not. :|

Don’t regret it. If you have some talent in something, send them pictures or works of yourself in action, but don’t be pretentious about it; exhibit pure interest and love for UPenn and that’ll do great! :)

ohh well. i should work on that maybe. but currently the jan 15 deadlines are over my head :’(

did anyone get into lafayette college in ED1???

^ Yes, but he will not be going there. Financial aid was not satisfactory.
