If I remember correctly, getting a call around the time of the RD releases is a good thing. I have some friends who are awaiting their decisions. Comp Sci is such a tough one to get into at NU and the other schools. I hope everyone gets some good news this week!
My daughter received a phone call from the University yesterday . The person she spoke with was from the Business School .
In the past emails and phone calls from Northeastern around this time are similar to “likely letters”. Good luck!
So if we didn’t get a phone call or email r we getting rejected/waitlisted/nu in program
@michiganb No, they will be accepting about 10,000 students so they cannot possibly call everyone.
@besteffort123 If you got a call it is NOT a good thing. You are missing some documents or other tidbit that they need. You will not get an acceptance before everyone else nor an invitation by phone to some event, that happens by email or snailmail. If you got a call they will want you to send them something they are missing. The same happened to my son about a css profile they were missing for Case Western Reserve University.
@TomSrOfBoston what type of emails would they be sending?
@lmjdad1 well…what did they say? Lol.
@kibbles I was thinking the same thing lol
All I can say @reformedman is that in past years some Northeastern applicants received phone calls and emails congratulating them on their accomplishments. They did not receive their official offer early. The calls/emails came from faculty, not the admissions or financial aid office.
They wanted to know if she had accepted any E.D decisions and if she had any questions about N,E.U
My Deferral letter just disappeared. Good sign? or does it mean nothing?
the NUadmissions tweeted back at someone who asked when admissions will be released: “Hi! Unfortunately we aren’t able to publicize the date of decision release, but we promise it will be soon - before April 1!” nothing that we didn’t know already but at least they said soon
My deferral letter also just disappeared, deferred EA applicant.
Wonder if that means anything, probably not tbh.
Best of luck
Yeah I think a couple of our deferral letters disappeared a week or so ago.
I was beginning to believe they won’t be released today (they still might not), however, in 2015 ED/EA and RD decisions were both released on Tuesdays, BUT, last year EA/ED were released on Thursday and RD was released on a Tuesday. So, there is still hope to everyone else who can’t control their anxiety (like me).
Even with the snow the admissions office tweeted so maybe they’re still able to release admissions??
This wait is killing me!!
@mayc16 are you sure? I just checked and it looks like EA/ED came out on tuesdays in Dec. 2015 as well (12/8 and 12/15). I would love if they came out today but I’m thinking it’ll be Thursday
