Bubbly, did you really get into Northeastern and their honors program? NU is my top choice, and I have a 1780. I applied RD. Also, congrats!

Teacher Recommendation: I’ve known both teachers for almost three years and really respect them… I also aided for one and the other wrote me a previous recommendation for the Georgetown program… so I think they were both excellent.

Counselor Rec: I love my counselor she’s the coolest and she took a very personal and in depth approach to my rec… so I think it was awesome.

International Student study in MA

Yes I did! Such a relief, because I got rejected and deferred elsewhere, still waiting on 7 schools.

Wait… How are they releasing decisions? I though early April?

They only sent out acceptances for the top 10% of applicants so it’s relatively unusual to have received a decision by now, don’t worry if you haven’t gotten anything

[] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: unique and passionate application
[] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: accepted- acadia, waterloo
[/ul]
General Comments:
I got a $10,000 scholarship which is great but the tuition is so friggin expensive I can barely appreciate it :s

Do you guys think there’s still more decisions waiting to be released? I was sure I would be in the top 10% of applicants (97.96 GPA / 2230 SAT)…

of course, there are still the rest of the regular acceptances to be given out
I think that the people elected for the honors program were chosen not based solely on grades but on motivation and potential success and how well they would thrive in a stressful academic environment i.e people really passionate and ready to jump into any situation

[ b]General Comments:
I’m so nervous to hear from all the other colleges I applied to!

I just got my acceptance today and applied for regular decision.
I’m surprised that i got my acceptance today considering i checked on their website and said that notifications will be posted by April 1st.

This is what it says:
On behalf of the Admission Committee, I am pleased to offer you admission to the 115th entering class at Northeastern University. Your admission is a testament to both your academic and personal achievements.

What does that even mean? Like i’m the 115th student to enter the class of 2016??

Northeastern opened 115 years ago, each year that entering class is that previous years number plus 1. Did you get honors? Why’d you hear so early?

NEU2017 - I applied for RD and i did not apply for honors as well. I checked my email today and it said that my admission status was available and i logged in and said i was accepted. I’m a little confuse why i got it so early as well.

early?

I had applied RD, my documents went in early jan… and on 22nd Feb, I got an email saying that my decision was available…

I got in, (Honors and Scholar’s Program aswell)

So I think, its just that the decisions have already started to come out…

NEU was my safety but after the Honors+Scholar’s Program it has shot up in list…Ill have to seriously give it thought while comparing my admits…
