Oh, and me too! I refuse to start Stanford’s lengthy supplement until I find out whether or not I’m accepted into NU.

same. i’ve paused the rest of my apps until i find out about NU (I have exams anyways :()

I’m so nervous! I’m planning on not going to school on Friday.

Scenario 1: I get in - Since I live in a Chicago suburb, I’ll stay home from school, drive out to Northwestern, buy a sweater from their bookstore, and celebrate with some friends!

Scenario 2: I don’t get in - Stay home from school, mope, start other apps, and catch up with all my calc homework.

Also, does anyone have a guess about the time of the release? I know it might 12/9, but if it is 12/9, do you think it will be Friday morning, Friday afternoon, etc.?

it will be sent out after the offices close… so sometime between 6 and 7 most likely

^ is what ive heard

whether 3 days or 9 days, or somewhere in between… I AM FREAKING OUT. I can’t believe my high school career is over, I am going to miss a lot of friends, but I am so anxious to find out about NU. Its like a dream, but realistically I should brace myself for a rejection letter. I am the only person I know for sure who is applying ED to Northwestern, there might be another kid… but he wasn’t really direct. I truly wish that we all receive good news in a few days… GOOD LUCK GUYS.
I am seriously so stressed out by this… all nervous and jumpy!! This changes so much…

I know this phase is stressfull, but remember that the mere fact that you’re all serious contenders for NU says that you will work hard and be very successful wherever you land!

I can honestly say if it isn’t on Friday there’s no chance I’ll be leaving my house for a second this weekend haha.

^ but… It would be nice to work hard and be very successful at Northwestern :D

if we don’t find out pretty soon my friends are going to shun me haha it’s all I can talk about

haha guys this is it! Okay I heard columbia has their decisions on 8th, what other major ED/EA schools release before the 15th?

Edit:
Columbia – 8th at 5pm
Cornell – 8th at 5pm
Dartmouth – 9th at 3pm
Brown – 13th at 5pm

thanks Raichu!

and not sure about you guys… but all my convos at school start with “___ DAYS LEFT! GAHH”
haha

UPenn: 9th at 6 pm

My game plan is all set. I’m going to the zoo friday night. If i get in, NU+Zoo=Best day ever. If I don’t, I can watch penguins to cheer me up. :D

lets share what we will do if we get accepted/rejected:
First of all its a long shot for my, I am 90% sure I will get rejected but…
Accepted: I will in total shock, I will tell my parents and then maybe go out with friends to celebrate.
Rejected: Oh well… I knew this was coming and probably be sad for the rest of the day, eat lots of ice cream.

Accepted: GAH. won’t study for exams then (maybe…). EAT RUBY TUESDAYS with friends :DDDD
Rejected: PIG OUT. and cry. maybe.

I am the only person in my high school that applied as early decision. Two of my schoolmates were accepted last year and in 2009 respectively. Just wish they pick me. But if not, I am gonna smile anyway.

accepted: ask my mom to treat me at Maggiano’s
rejected: move on college deadlines due

Same here! I also highly doubt that I will get accepted!
But if I’m somehow accepted I’m definitely going to Hooters…definitely. I will also make my way to Evanston and buy a couple more of NU items.
Rejected: Scream “I knew it!!!” and consider applying ED2 to NYU or Vanderbilt
