Go Cats!

Good luck to everybody.
I heard this year the results will be in on the 12th?

They’re usually released at some point between the 8th and the 15th, and since the deadline for ED applications was pushed back to November 8th this year they’ll most likely be releasing decisions relatively late. I’d bet that they’ll be out on the 12th, 13th or 14th :)

Apparently the number of ED applications they received went up 14% this year! Ahhhh
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

oh my god its so soon

@texasteen Not soon enough the wait is killing me!

The wait is killing me too! But my best friend said that a mutual friend found out about his decision today!

My mom is about ready to kill me. She tells me to calm down every day, BUT I JUST CAN’T!

What the heck how??! @calculator16

Most likely through the QuestBridge program, it was released today. I had two friends whose match school was NU, and neither got it…

@microbe What’s that??

@cocoa546

www.questbridge.org/‎
[QuestBridge - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](QuestBridge - Wikipedia)

It’s a financial scholarship program designed to match low-income, high-achieving students with select universities and colleges. It has a rigorous selection process. As you might expect, it’s quite competitive. The college match results were released yesterday.

@microbe ohhh okay, gotcha. thanks for explaining.

All I want for Christmas is
NU.
Scholarship money.
And maybe a camera.

I heard that sometimes our counselors would know in advance??? is that true omg

Decisions will probably be out next Thursday or Friday (12th or 13th) since that’s the end of the quarter, which is their normal time to release decisions.

When they do come out, don’t freak out if they don’t all get out at once. They usually end up pushing out of NU’s server very slowly, and just because yours is late does NOT mean that you were rejected.

Ppl who posted CHANCE ME thread here about NU all have excellent grades, ECs, legacy, etc except me…I am stressed out

@gungunbaby don’t psych yourself out! There really isn’t anything else we can do now so its all up to the “admissions gods”

I heard that if you applied ED (which my son did) there is only an acceptance or rejection. There is no deferral for regular decision as there is in other schools. Is that correct?

You can get deferred as well. This just means that they are going to put the application into pool of regular decision applicants and reevaluate the application.
