** Official Northwestern Class of 2021 Discussion Thread **

Same here

@Vlau0707 ut austin (auto admit). ill be applying to berkeley, usc, ucla, vandy, nyu, and a couple more soon

Notre Dame, U Michi, Case Western, UIUC, UCSD

Good luck to you all. I applied UIUC and UMich, and I will be applying to NYU, UChicago and Brown (if I don’t get into NU).

Do you guys think northwestern has gotten more heavy with test scores? I checked the results from class of 2016 and a lot of people in the 25th percentile, with no hooks, got in.

Applying to Barnard, Cornell, Emory and a few others.

@w17mywoes I only got a 33 on my ACT, which I think is only at the 50th percentile. :frowning:

me too @Vlau0707 I’m really trying to figure out my chances but there’s not really any way to do that since admissions are kind of random. my gpa is pretty low though so I guess we’ll see what happens

@Vlau0707 that’s definitely a good score for a competitive ED applicant.

Are you guys nervous

@vermouth89 I’m super nervous. I’m trying every method possible to help me get into NU. I visited again last weekend, and I’m praying the rosary every night.

@ths17112 True. There are so many factors affecting the decision (gpa, test score, rigorous classes, race, etc.) that it is almost impossible to calculate anybody’s chances.

My anxiety gets bad…sometimes I can’t find myself to do homework. Two days ago, I re-read my application because I was so sure I was going to get rejected.

@w17mywoes And sometimes you just can’t even spell “sometimes.”

@Vlau0707 lol dont be so set on one school… in the end college is college and im sure that all the ones you are applying to are already great

Only applying to Northwestern >:D< (International applicant here lol)

It’s Friday, don’t forget to wear NU shirt guys!

I get so stressful and can’t even concentrate in class

@vermouth89 This is how I do to concentrate. I tell myself if I can go to NU, I must study hard senior year so I won’t be a “dumb” kid at NU. If I can’t go the NU, I need AP credits so I can take higher level classes at other universities, then I will have a similar competitive peer enviroment right there.

I wear uniform everyday, but I hope I can wear NU shirt for college day in January! :)>-
