He is on waitlist at Wash U so don’t think it would have been them but these are the only 2 we don’t already have an offer from. It is going to be hard to pass up full ride at state school but he really loves Northwestern!
No, my daughter’s do not appear.
We did NOT get that email and my D got in. Your words are wise.
@4gsmom - Right now I am just speculating because it is a diversion from everything else going on.
@4gsmom I would like to think of myself as a little beyond my years, but who am I to judge myself. In all seriousness, though, I wish that people would stop trying to read the tea leaves. Back in December, I felt ruined because I didn’t get that financial email, so I prepared for a rejection. Instead, I am still in the running after a deferral. What annoys me is that people never seem to learn from histories missteps. Just yesterday, people were going crazy over decisions being released this week without an official announcement. And guess what? Decisions are in fact being released on this upcoming Tuesday. Why can’t everyone just remain calm?
Trust me - if my D hadn’t gone ED? We’d be doing the same. Good luck - having to wait 4 more days would be torture for me.
@4gsmom Thanks for the well wishes. I really hope that I will be able to attend Northwestern, but the ultimate decision is out of my control.

It’s the #firstdayofspring, and we have a #RegularDecision update and a bright spot during these challenging times. Applied #RegularDecision? You can see your admission decision Tuesday, March 24 (we’ll email you ?)?, #NU2024! Pro-tip: If you are already logged into your Northwestern applicant portal when we release decisions, you will not receive an email from us and you will need to REFRESH your portal to see your admission decision SPRING to life ?. Stay healthy!
my checklist is also back, is everyone’s?
Yes, mine is too. . . Don’t know what to make of that.
Parent of sophomore UG here. Some updates of ongoing Covid saga.
Refer to site https://www.northwestern.edu/coronavirus-covid-19-updates/index.html for latest developments. So far 6 confirmed cases on campus, none students.
Finals in last Q made optional and online, spring break extended for another week. So technically students have almost 3 weeks of spring break if one opt out of finals.
First 3 weeks of next Q will be online class only.
As you can imagine, all these developments happened in short period and certain that NU administration is swamped, it is highly likely that decisions are not following usual timeline.
So how are we all feeling? 2 days away
Nervous, not optimistic.
terrified
Literally petrified lol
Currently telling myself that I’m going to get rejected. Gotta keep those expectations suuuuuper low for myself.
Same. Regardless of what happens in the next week, I hope you guys all have options you like!
Good luck everyone!
Any idea on what time decisions will be out?
@SkipperCat Last year it was 4 pm central time
