I’m in the same boat as you guys. I’m going to orientation at IU in a week and a half, but I’d really like to hear from Northwestern before that… It’s hard trying to balance being optimistic and realistic at this point :-/.

i wish i was in that situation…been rejected by every school, NU is last option…

Xfer, do you have a back-up plan? Will you just return to your previous university? This happened to me last year, and you may not find out until July and still get rejected (as did I), so you may want think about that. It sucks, I just assumed with my good grades I would get into the schools to which I applied, but guess not, got rejected by all three, including NU, which was my last choice, but I had withdrawn 100% from my previous university and by the time i found out it was too late to go back.

wow, that’s unfortunate. I still haven’t withdrawn from my current college (I’m living on campus this summer >.<). Good luck, xfer! I am starting to get a little pessimistic about this whole situation now. I’m not counting on Northwestern anymore, really…

i’m not sure what i’ll do if i dont get in. i’ll just have to address it if the time comes…please please NU, help me out!

Any new news today? or is everyone still waiting as nervously as I am…?

Still waiting nervously here. Our mail doesn’t come until 3 every day! And it doesn’t help that I have no idea what day the letter will actually arrive… Pure torture.

I just called NU and they said that my application is still under review. I guess I can hold off on checking the mailbox anxiously for another week or so. I really wish I knew where I am going on next year!!

Still waiting myself. Although I am pretty much decided I want to stay at my school. Best of Luck to all those still waiting!

if you arent going to attend even if accepted, you should let them know and withdraw your application so you dont take a spot of someone who really wants to go there…

Yea there are people dying to get into this school, if you are already set on not going there maybe you should def. withdraw…

I agree as well.

Still no letter today :(. Mail time always provokes a feeling of anxiety these days…

people heard on monday but it was postmarked from a couple days before. and nothing since then…so it might be true that they release decisions on a weekly rolling basis. I dont think the committee meets and deliberates every day, maybe just every friday

I’m starting to think that as well, xfer, however looking at previous years it wasn’t the case (I researched it a bit haha). Hmmm… I wish I knew their way of doing this. I hate not knowing when I’m going to hear back.

Hey guys good luck on getting in!

I was accepted for Econ but, due to financial reasons, I will not be attending (going to UCLA!) I don’t want to major in econ anymore either so it also doesn’t make sense to attend. It’s still a great school and all of you who got accepted should be proud!

Good luck again guys!

ahh supa my stats are so similar to yours, hope its good news for me

just found this thread… i’m still waiting to hear from northwestern too. if i don’t get in i’ll go to loyola.

since its taking so long i was thinking about calling northwestern admissions to ask when i should expect to hear… just to ease the stress of watching the mail and wondering every day. has anyone else done this? were they nice and friendly about it, or did they seem like you were annoying them? i just don’t want to **** them off and hurt my chances. any comments/suggestions? thanks

well i have been told that my application is with the committee now, but there is no way to predict when i will get a decision, although i did get an email that it will be by the end of june at the latest. the transfer rep i talked to said i could check in periodically and see if a decision has been released. hope this helps, i know waiting sucks
