Congrats to everyone accepted! Nothing here in New Mexico…I didn’t really expect there to be, but now I have to wait until Monday at the earliest. Waiting is awful send help

If accepted does anyone know what GPA you need to achieve for the rest of senior year?

I’m a parent. I don’t think they have a certain number but want to see that you didn’t tank the rest of the year.
I know of a kid 2 years ago who was deferred early but then his first semester grades were poor and it probably hurt him as he was denied regular.
Keep working as if nothing is guaranteed. You have come so far…

If I remember correctly from last year as long as you keep I think it was better than 1 d or 2 C’s you don’t get contacted about it. Nothing is absolute, so even if you do get contacted it doesn’t mean you’ll get rescinded. If you keep mostly b’s and nothing too far below you’ll be fine. Have a great senior year!

You’ll hear soon from them about the official info, and it may be online.

Ok! I will definitely be keeping mostly A’s i just wanted to make sure 2 or 3 B’s wouldn’t cause them to have to rescind the acceptance!

Nope, not a problem. That’s definitely fine.

Just 500 miles away, no letter yet…

Packet received in CO! Mail came in at 6:30 pm! Very late and worth the wait!

@IliketoFence Would that be two C’s per semester, or for an entire year? I also wonder how much it truly takes to rescind an application, when they know they’re really messing up someone’s hopes and dreams (an possibly finances). I’d guess it’s more likely an F and D, two D’s and a C, or maybe 3-4 C’s for a semester to consider it.

Does anyone know when we might find out if we’re invited to the Reilly Weekend?

Haven’t received my letter either - I live in Northern California :(

A friend of mine who lives 10 min away from me got his acceptance letter, but I didn’t get anything in the mail at all today. Do they send the rejection after the acceptance? Or did it just get lost in the mail? Thanks in advance

All these posts on Instagram about people being accepted are killing me! I just want to know-one way or another. I haven’t even heard of anyone in my area being notified yet (although I don’t know too many other applicants from New Mexico…) To everyone still waiting, good luck and I hope we all find out tomorrow!

D just received her letter today. We live in South Florida. Don’t know any details other than accepted - waiting for her to get home from school to open it.

Hey @arpeggios, I found an early discussion that mentioned it: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-notre-dame/1069592-notre-dame-rescind-policy.html. It only refers to final grades. I’ll keep looking for the official document from ND but that was the policy (2C’s or 1 D) that I remember.

Also, it only means that Notre Dame “reviews” your application. It isn’t an automatic denial. It’s definitely something you can talk to teachers about if you’re worried.
