**Official Notre Dame Regular Decision Class of 2021 Thread**

Are official decisions out in early March?

@bkice9 last year it was march 18, so probably late in the week of march 12 we will find out

Well how is everyone’s winter going?

Splendid @Seacoast !! 85 degrees here in Texas. Soccer game today. And I hear from UF today. :smiley:

14" of snow, more tomorrow and even more on Monday! wow! Good luck with the UF(?) decision! [-O<

University of Florida!! And thank you!! :slight_smile:

anyone know the percent of the deferred kids who get in

@nduclaunc how did it go with UF? my daughter got accepted to UF so does she just accept and go to UF or wait for Notre Dame to decide about her deferral? She also got in to Umiami EA but it’s 3x as much as UF. If Notre Dame is going to be just as expensive maybe her decision is already made for her. :-?

@kslinky I got accepted to UF!! :smiley: I personally am going to embrace the excruciating wait on a reply from my dream schools (ND in that category for me) but as for your daughter, that’s a tough call. For me, being an ND legacy is truly my only source of hope for admission, and I’d be ecstatic with the transfer program they have (you have to be chosen, though, and it’s almost as hard as getting into ND :frowning: ) so just because of the extreme passion I have for Notre dame I’m waiting. I’d say that in my eyes, there truly is just no place like Notre dame… and if she got in, and you could find a way to finance it, I’d say it would be hard to turn down that type of opportunity. Tough call, but I’d toss Umiami out of the mix and really think about UF and ND and the experiences they’d entail individually. ND definitely would be more rigorous academically but is more prestigious, which could pay off in the long run with job opportunities, connections the university has, etc. Whereas UF is more of the “classic” college experience, and is more affordable. Also with UFs alumni network their range of opportunity is probably pretty vast too. College in the end is what you make of it either way, however that is just my take. :slight_smile:

I was deferred EA and am waiting anxiously! Sent in a rather heartfelt LOCI lol…i am worried about my AP Calc grade from first semester, but am trying to get into great books program so maybe they will look more at english grades etc! good luck everyone, hope to see you all there next year!

like one month and a week -ish until decisions :confused:

@Seacoast you mentioned in the first post that because of a convo you had with an admissions rep that you decided to regular decision instead of early. Any chance you could elaborate on why please?

@GoRedhead…the first time I took the new SAT I only got a 1440. About average for ND and with a GPA of 4.0 UW, 6 AP’s and only honors classes WGPA just over 4.3. I am paying for college due to high income parents so I knew I would have to do better. 3 Varsity sports, captain, EC and over 300 service hours still not enough for this East Coaster so I retook the SAT and glad I did.

That’s my story. Good luck to you …I read your speal and feel for you. Not sure I can afford ND at this point - it’s gonna be a tough one with the other schools now offering Merit. I’ve got some thinking to do…

@Seacoast impressive stats. I feel you with the high income parents thing / will have to pay the entire way… a blessing and a curse because unless you are SUPER high income, ND is a hard investment for nearly everyone.

I feel like I’m going to throw up when I think about the nd decisions coming out

@mimimo7890 ND your top?

When were decisions for ND posted last year?

@nduclaunc march 18th 6:42 pm :stuck_out_tongue:

@nduclaunc yup!!! Is it yours?
