Official Nov. Math IIC Thread

The rule is also that 99% of values fall 3 standard deviations away from the mean, both sides.

That would mean 74 +(2x3) and 74 -(2x3) - scores 68 - 80 encapsulate 99% of the values

what did you all put for 49. the congruent triangle question?

I put in none. No idea if its correct.

No triangle could be made.. if i recall, the given side lenghts were 4 and 6, and the angle 42? that means the last side length is about 16 : thus no triangle

I only omitted 1, i finished with 20 min left. That test was so freaking easy.

^ damn you :D

peachjelly: precisely :)

i was hella confused (think i omitted) the one which was like

x^2 + 4 = 8 when x=2
x^2 + 4 ≠ 8 when x≠2
\
etc

doesnt x= -2 count??

yeah the answer was x = -2 and once you saw that there was no combination of the answer choices that was right except that one. If I remember right it was the I, II, and III format question.

or should I say it was no to being just 2. i dont remember the question very well

I think all three were correct. I marked E) i, ii, iii

no, not all 3 were correct cuz I and III won't work out if y = (-2) which it could be

I picked II only I think.
I had no idea how to do the standard deviation question and just guessed. The answer is E I guess? E was the first answer I crossed out. Urghh.

They were just asking whether it was 2 or not werent they? And all three equations werent same as stated above. There was a slight difference between them.

what was the answer to the xyz question with x=4?

I heard that the test was really hard.. especially for those who wanted to get 800.. it that true??

a straight line.

a plane 10 char

oh **** yeah its a plane

Was it hard/??

damn I thought it was a line
