Official November 3rd SAT Reasoning Test Results

I’m ridiculously happy. Normally I don’t post to these threads. but. I’m ridiculously happy, with scores that aren’t that amazing for the collegeconfidential kids I suppose.

Math - 730 (improved 90 pts! from 640 May SATs, 610 PSATs; sooo happy)
Reading - 740 (Improved 20pts, could be due to a curve, May SATs 720, 800 PSATs)
Writing - 710 (Improved 30 pts, could be due to curve, May SATs 680, 800 PSATs)

I don’t care about my writing score at all; a 1470/1600 is fabulous for me! Better yet, my older sister won’t get angry at me for beating her 1550.

How do you guys know what your essay scores/MC are already?

Mia

I got 670 critical reading, 630 math, and 620 writing…80 points up in critical reading, 30 points up in math, and no change in writing. I’m happy.

Well, my results are out…
Critical Reading 750
Math 750
Writing 660

Guess I know what I have to work on… stupid writing…

Well, so much for a first attempt… I hoped to break 2200…

800CR
750M
800W

Done with the SAT forEVER. :)

June 07 scores: 2220
M - 740
CR - 680
W - 800 (80MC,9E)

Nov 07 Scores: 2330 (+110)
M- 800 (+60)
CR - 790 (+110)
W - 740 (76MC, 8E) (-60)

Superscore: 2390!

Wow, tapedDuck, you retook a 2220? Looks like it paid off though. Might I inquire how you prepped for each test and how many hours? Thanks.

Math - didn’t really prep (wasn’t focussed during June test, just focussed more in Nov); didn’t prep for writing either

For CR, I did some of the CR sections from blue book and red book (total maybe 10 practice sections) and some from barrons cr workbook - total ~10 hrs

What I realized is that focus during the test is more improtant than preparation before the test - the answers are right there, you just have to get them.

Old Score-1880:
560 CR
660 W
660 M

New Score-2000:
600 CR
650 M
750 W

weeeeeeee. i’m happy that i improved in writing. Perfect essay score!
And I went up 40 pts in CR! But I dropped 10 points in math, which isn’t so good.

Should I retake?

heck yesssss

740 CR
780 Math
760 Writing

with an 11 Essay

I have 3 wrong on the CR so 740 is the curve for that
And I guess one wrong on math? is a 780
And 72/80 on the multiple choice of writing
does anyone know if that is pure raw score?

How do you know how many you got wrong???

And the writing is not a raw score - its scaled

600 CR
710 M
720 W

2030 Composite

CR 600 -> 650
M 780 -> 720
w 690 -> 590

Should I send my scores to college that I applied for ED? It’s private so it will take the highest combined, but…I’m slightly worried…SHOULD I?

HELP ME…=/

My scores are quite disappointing too.

May/June
CR 550
M 720
W 750
Total 2020
Math2 670

Oct/Nov
CR 560 (+10)
M 750 (+30)
W 660 (-90)
Total 1970 (-50)
Math2 680 (+10)

I was expecting 2100+ and 750+

The way writing is scored is ridiculous. If you have either an essay score of 12, or MC 80/80, then you’re bound to get a really good score.

So like
Essay 12 MC 70/80 and Essay 8 MC 80/80
is significantly higher than
Essay 10 MC 75/80

Also, most peoples’ scores dropped from their last test in W.

I did ok.. (compared to my ACT, which is a 35)

June –> November
CR: 700 –> 800 (holy crap)
MA: 720 –> 770 (whatevs)
W: 710 –> 750 (essay went up from a 7 to a 9…still crappy)

Funy thing is that for the June SAT I studied every day for 3-4 hours for a month before the test.. and after that I just stopped studying.. period. Also, the night before the november SAT test I got 2.5 hours of sleep  (because I didn’t care about it as I knew I had a good ACT)

610 critical reading
690 math
620 writing
6 essay

I am disappointed!! I would like to do better ^^ Any tips? (seng msg >_<)

That was my first SAT so I can’t help sharing this experience :)

CR 670
Math 770
Writing 760

Total: 2200 (in euphoria)

I’m from an ACT state, so I have this score but no idea what it’s worth… my first time SATing it, you know?

CR 800
Math 750
Writing 760
Essay 11

Total: 2310

CR:740
Math:740
Writing:640
Essay 8

Total:2120

bmwdan, are you serious you don’t know how good your score is???.. Its amazing! (Roughly the equivalent of a 35 on the ACT)

…I wish I had your essay score…
