My bad...heres another link to my facebook....NYU college of arts and science :)

I just went out to see if the mailman came. I started the long treck down my driveway, walking through 4 inches of snow in my little converse sneakers. In the middle of my driveway, there was just a random hole without snow, and it was in the shape of a heart. I was thinking, maybe thats a sign from NYU? Ha, probably not... I keep walking and all the sudden my feet slip out from under me and I'm on my back. As I'm getting up I see the mailman at the end of my driveway. Wow, he must think I'm an odd kid now. I walk down the rest of my driveway and tell the mailman "Oh, I was just coming to check the mail," and he hands me it. NO package. NO mail from NYU. Just bills. I guess I'm not going to NYU next year, kids. This sucks.

spetz- just added you!

So if we didn't get a letter today we didn't get in? How does that work? Give it 'til Saturday?

Everyone needs to calm down. The USPS isn't magic. It takes a few days, especially with the weather in NY. And a few days is more than 2 days, in my books.

A girl from my school last year didn't find out until Saturday, December 16. She got into CAS, and I don't think she had stratospheric stats-like a 3.55 and 1310, tops?

DON'T WRITE IT ALL OFF JUST YET. The USPS is NOT God; it's flawed.

haha i got ya mermaid...

I'd agree with the.letting.go

Especially considering they say you'll get a response around the 15th. Today is the 13th.

Regardless of when it was sent out the 15th was used as estimated delivery date.

If you look, a majority of people have not heard anything from NYU.
Relaxxxx.

a friend of mine once told me,
if you ever find yourself falling off a cliff, flap your wings because it can't get any worse.
I'm not one to enourage false optimism, but if it works for you, try it out.

It would be false optimism if you were waiting for your acceptance letter in the January after getting a rejection letter, hoping it was a mistake.

I don't think it's false optimism to not give up all hope because you didn't get your acceptance letter 2 days before it was estimated to be delivered to you.

thirty more minutes until the mailman comes...

Truth.

Slater why are you still on these so much if you're convinced you didn't get in?

Not to be obnoxious, it's just ironic.

because there is still a small part of me that truly believes that I got in...

ya, the USPS is flawed, as i said b4, i've gotten 2 letters from NYU b4 about other stuff and both were post marked 4 mail days before i actually received it, and I live in Central NJ too. congratz to those that got in! i'm hoping mine comes tomorrow since it wasn't in the mail today...

o ya, gov pol and econ don't count cause they're not considered CORE courses for high school. the only social studies that count are like US history and stuff lol

You gotta keep some faith.

I could be completely off on this but I remember reading somewhere that if you don't hear by the 18th you can call them for their decision.

Don't know if anyones tried that and been shutout, but there is room for error. I've had several high school reports lost in the mail. You never know what's going to happen, especially considering the meteorological mess in NYC.

Might as well keep it zen.

i got in, you guys!!!!!
