-= Official NYU '12 ED Decisions Thread =-

Trivialapology, I'm from GA as well, and I was also convinced I'd be getting a rejection! I even cried over it, and now I'm just astounded and excited at the same time. Anyway, congratulations, and hopefully I'll see you around next year!

im so sorry to all of you guys who got rejected...serisouly my heart goes out to you bc even though its not the end of the world it sure can feel like it. I wish everyone good luck in the future and thank god this forum exisisted so we could all freak out together....

i hope the best for everyone!!!

the.letting.go, im really sorry about your rejection...im in the same boat. apparently overcoming mental/physical diseases and trying to put all your energy into that does not trump a slightly deflated gpa at nyu. its so painful because weve both clearly had to deal with more than we should.

electoralgoat..it was the same for me. i took the november SAT IIs because i was really late in deciding to apply early and did not realize that i needed them. They were rather obnoxious and didnt really give an answer either way, basically just said to send them an email and they'd see if they could put off the review of my application until the scores did come in. i really hope they did reject me because it was incomplete, it would reduce the pain of rejection a tiny, tiny bit.

lunasea im especially jealous because i was rejected to arts and sciences to english with higher stats...i hate admissions...

but congrats to those who did manage to get acceptances. and although it sounds cheesy and i said it already, please, if you received an acceptance...you have no idea how lucky you are or how jealous i am. have an awesome experience.

yes, nyu admissions does have a stick up its a.ss but i hope to see anyone rejected who is devasted but now determined there sophomore year. it does suck, but it makes me even more determined to get back on track from my depression, stay involved, get a 4.0 my first year and college, and easily be qualified for a transfer in.

although this sounds weird, you guys were great and even though in the early reception of acceptances this forum made my stress increase tenfold, the reassurance and help was awesome. best of luck with everything

3.3 GPA... killed me....

Great Essay, Awesome Recs... I'm an athlete too... appparently it was just going to be too much of a pull to get me in... oh well... Now I dont have to live in a neighborhood full of homosexuals for 4 years... HOORAY!

SYRACUSE HERE I COME!!!

elctoral, nope mine were october.

their admissions process is ridiculously hard to figure out

I figured it out already.
Take the applications, dump them in a large hat, and randomly pull out 1000.

Lmfaaaao Collapptime!!

yo does anyone know if Binghamton would care if I only had 2 years of foreign language rather than 3? I went from Hebrew 1 to Hebrew 3...this is bugging me out because Binghamton was my 2nd choice after NYU and now I feel like this little thing will cause my rejection from there as well...

I'm bummed that i won't be living in manhattan, BUT i do go all the time so i t will be nice to have a change of pace-whether i end up in Brooklyn, DC, California, or London.

================================================== ==============

Photography is very selective, so don't be too down.

Thanks!
yeah, i'm not sure if its my best option anyway

i think one big thing is that they only take your core classes into account. so if you got an a+ in gym all 4 years which inflated your gpa, they could give less of a *****. whatever, northeastern '12!

HAHA cxc08 i got accepted to northeastern too =) wow what a day...first a rejection then an acceptance...INTENSE.

I'm damn anxious right too, can't believe it hasn't arrived yet, what do you guys think about just calling them like letting.go? Best of luck tomorrow to all of you, hope theres a big envelope for everyone

I called today and they told me to call back wednesday if I hadn't received anything.
