Official NYU 2012 Transfer Thread

@BAM010893
I am just curious how were you able to see your transfer credit report for a couple weeks(which means you have been admitted obviously) ,since weeks ago you haven’t finished your midterm…( I finished my mid-term report in March 19th or 20th) When did you send in your mid-term report though? I think the admission office will not view the application unless you have everything… Or is mid-term report optional? thanks!!!

@meillur

The mid-term report IS optional.

Accepted via email to stern!

@giantmidget
oh thanks!

@cudreams
oh congratulations!!!But when did you submit your application, and could you please share with us some experiences? thx!!!

@cudreams
How long did it take to see your credit evaluation after you submitted your app?

I wish they would have let us know that if we applied early, we would find out early as well! Mine also still says not available. AGH! PARANOID

Btw, I would guess that they’re still following the Tueday/Thursday pettern for sending e-mails, since a bunch of people heard today.

@giantmidget
Oh, is that what they do every year? Release decisions on Tuesday/Thursday?
When did you submit your app?

Send in my application in march 1st, got accepted via email

@kz321321
WOW! LUCKY YOU! :stuck_out_tongue: What are your stats?

@Loolala
That’s what they did last year. I submitted my application on the 30th, so I don’t think I’ll be hearing from NYU for a loooong time, haha.

@kz321321

Which school did you apply to?

I applied the 10th, but that was a Saturday, so it said it was downloaded on a Monday 3/12. I hope I find out soon since kz321321 found out today! > < GAHHH.

@everyone - I applied to social sciences, I’m doing economics. I might consider attempting to transfer to Stern, I’m already taking graduate statistics at my current college

Umm stats:
College GPA - 3.95
SATs - 2210(? been a while, I forget)
EC’s (just a few):
Non-profit founder/president for 6 years in HS
Student government, speech & debate in HS among other random things
President of my area on campus for college (campus is divided into 6 areas for my college, mine includes 9 dorm buildings)

Some other stuff, but that’s the gyst of it.

PS: to everyone worrying about getting decisions late, stop worrying! haha. I think there’s just a lot of processing, mis-processing (not a word) of documents that causes delays. It’s a big school, things get hectic with so many applicants, you’ll get your decision soon enough

PPS: I didn’t apply to stern, so that’s probably why I got in earlier? Maybe just one of the factors.

I also applied to CAS! :(

You’ll be fine :slight_smile: some applications get processed earlier than others. Not like they finish all of them at one time! good luck :)

did they send you anything about aid?

I was able to see my transfer credit report maybe 2 weeks ago…and my stats can be found earlier on this thread. I submitted way back in february

how do i see my transfer credit report? idk where to find it at all…

edit: nvm found it

edit2: OHMYGOD THEY ACCEPTED ALL MY CREDITS YESSSS is that normal of colleges?

@giantmidget

Do they send rejection letters at the same time acceptance letters are sent out?
