That’s awesome! :D

Did you also see your transfer credit two weeks ago, or did you just realize today?

I applied March 1st. I’m not sure when I noticed that my transfer credit report was available. I did however get a personal email from someone who worked for the admissions office asking me for my midterm report.

@BAM010893
Sorry if you posted your stats earlier, but I couldn’t find it on here. What are your stats/what school did you apply to? :)

@BAM010893
I got an email from someone who worked at the admissions office asking me to send in another college report form, but that was because it went missing :p

@Loolala
I think if they send you an email about the materials, regardless of what is missing, then probably they are processing and actually taking a look at your application. Because for me, I called them to find out that my high school transcript is missing( but I sent it out 3 weeks ago, and submitted my application on feburuary 28th), but NYU never sent me any email about anything missing! So I guess they are looking at your materials at least… But for mine they haven’t put an eye on!!! Good luck!!!

@Loolala - No, I just found it today haha… I clearly haven’t been looking at it very closely or I would have seen it a while ago.

@meilleur
That makes me feel better! Thanks, meilleur! Good luck to you as well. Waiting is the worst part. Hopefully I hear back soon.

@everyone
Does anyone know if they send out rejection letters after they send out all the acceptance letters or do they send them out at the same time?

@loolala
They send both of them out at the same time, IIRC from last year.

You can’t internal transfer into Stern if you are an external transfer into another school in NYU.
“Also note that the Leonard N. Stern School of Business will not consider for transfer admission students who enter NYU by transferring into another NYU school or college.”

@giantmidget - oof, thank you for that info!

I applied in January, based on people getting their decisions already I hope that means I’ll be getting mine soon.

@hotpotato1092
I wonder if you called they could tell you anything. People who applied in March have heard back already. I applied early March, so I’m hoping I get something soon too

Update - I emailed them to ask about why my standardized scores was checked on Albert, even though I had not submitted them. I was told that they did indeed retrieve it from last years application. I asked them if they could remove them from my application, but I was told that that was not possible. However, she said that they would not be considered when reading my file.

If anyone else is reapplying like me, you might wanna call and make sure.

@giant midget,

what school are you applying to? stats?

why did you not want them to review your submitted scores? you are a junior transfer correct?

@thinkingthink

I didn’t want them to review SAT scores because my score was really low (1850).

@giantmidget
Seriously? I applied as a freshman (so two years ago), and my standardized test scores was checked on Albert as well. I don’t want them to review mine either! I feel like they’ll still look at it even if they said it won’t be “considered.”

Chance me for Stern!

I wish to transfer to NYU Leonard N. Stern School of Business. However, I would like to know if I have a good chance to transfer since my high school performance was poor.

Current School: City University of New York (Senior College)

Entering as: Junior

College GPA: 4.0

College Recommendation: Professor, Ph.D. from CUNY, who knows me very well.

High School GPA: (~2.0 GPA)

SAT II Scores: None

During my junior and senior year of high school, I was able to secure a job at a mortgage company. As a learning loan officer, I assisted my clients in refinancing their current home mortgages to qualify them for a lower interest rate; ultimately, their monthly bills were lowered. Responsibilities included analyzing client’s documents (credit scores, income documentation, house appraisals), consult with clients about their financing options, and sales origination. I worked at this company for almost a year and discovered my passion for finance there. One of the college application essays will focus on my transformation from bad high school student to stellar college student, using my work experience at the mortgage company as the turning point.

Do I have a good chance at being accepted into NYU Stern?

@fortunefinder
You have as good a chance as anyone. 4.0 GPA, that’s impressive.

Have you already applied? Your post was ambigious. I can’t tell if you’ve already applied or asking if you should apply. “essays WILL focus”?

@Loolala

We have no other choice. Maybe you should e-mail them too, and your email may be read by someone else who can remove the SAT scores.

Sorry, I copied and pasted my stats from a previous post. I applied and I am very new to the application process.

@giantmidget
Yeah, I feel like even if I called/e-mail them to remove it, it wouldn’t make a difference though. I think they’ll take a look at it, but I guess they don’t really have the right to use it as one of their factors when making a decision. What do you think? :/
