Did anyone hear back yet ???

We think people usually hear back on Tuesday/Thursday.

Well I’ve got nothing yet. It’s 11 a.m. New York time. Maybe this Thursday? I really do not want to have to wait until the end of the month like last year’s Tisch applicants.

haha some of last year’s MCC applicants didn’t find out until about June 1st, and some were wait listed until then and denied.

By stalking last year’s thread, I’ve found that most of last year’s acceptance emails came at like 9:00 am, ET time.

Thank you good luck everyone !! :)

hi guys! I’m julie, I just joined this thread. I’m looking to transfer to nyu college of arts and sciences. i have a question because i’m starting to get nervous that i didn’t get in!

i haven’t received an email, not even one, since the first NYU application acknowledgment email.

i’m worried I might’ve been somehow taken off the email list or something. I can still login to Albert and everything, and I called the admissions office and they said my file is complete and everything. Since the admission decision is announced via email, I’m nervous I’m not going to even get it!

Have other people received emails from NYU? If you’re transferring to the College of Arts and Sciences only.

Don’t worry jcs9106, I am also applying to NYU CAS and I haven’t received anything as well. I also applied to a couple of other schools and if they have everything they need, they won’t send you anything except your decision. Thus, no need to worry. You can check if you entered the correct email address but since you already received an email from NYU, you should be all set.

Thank you Telayl! I thought that might be the case, I just wanted to make sure. Good luck to you!

Ok everyone, so I again called and bugged NYU admissions again and got some new info. Hope this will help a few people out. Supposedly, our decisions will be released by next week. However, if you do not receive your decision by next week, you need to call them. If you hear later then that, it does not mean you were rejected. Also, those concerned with mid-term reports, I will quote the admissions counselor I spoke to “Don’t worry if you were not asked about the mid-term reports. They will no way affect your decision, and it does not mean you were rejected if you didn’t get asked for them. Sometimes we ask because we need more information from that candidate, and sometimes we can make a decision without them.”

thank you for calling!

Thanks so much hsclassof2011. That info helps a lot!

@Hsclass2011 which college in my did you apply to?

@hsclassof2012
Thanks for calling, that was really helpful. I’ve been getting really anxious since they haven’t asked me for my midterm report.

@everyone
Will anyone apply for spring if they don’t get in now or will you go to another school?

I am a CAS transfer applicant. Do you guys know if the decisions will be released together or scattered throughout May?

No problem guys!

@BrettMess I applied to Steinhardt for MCC

@transfernewyork This is my second time applying already, so I’m not sure. Third times a charm lol.

@LAboy928 I think they will be somewhat scattered, as the admissions site said.

@hsclassof2011
Wow, if that doesn’t show determination… They have got to let you in now. And if I remember correctly your stats are amazing.

Yes!! My HS transcripts got finally checked off!! It seems like my application is complete, the transfer credit hasn’t showed up yet tho… Do you guys think we should send in our Spring semester grades? I got like a 3.79 with 19 credits so now I have a 3.85 cumulative for the first year…

^ only if they ask for it. I think they’ll be done with making decisions soon.

Yeah, I mean in hsclassof2011’s post that was addressed. If they ask for it, they need it, if they don’t ask for it, then they don’t need it.
