I turned in everything a few weeks ago and my portal says only one thing is received haha. Hope they actually have it and are busy processing it rather than actually not having the documents because that would suck

@Rain202 I withdrew from a general science class (Astronomy & Cosmology), I am a finance major.

guys im so sick of waiting im loosing my mind

Got an email from NYU minutes ago asking to submit my midterm.
I submitted mine about a month ago hahaha funny cause in the website it shows my HS transcript as not received, and the email asked about the midterm hahaha

So for those who doesn’t have a complete application checked off in Albert… i would say relax, cause NYU will contact you if they need it!

And by the way, the email says “we are currently processing transfer applications”… So I guess we still have a lot to wait until we receive most of the decisions…

In the admission blog, they said" the admission will be released around Mid-May". SO…let’s wait and see…

If I have other schools pending a deposit by May 1st, should I ask NYU if there is any possibility I could get my decision sooner than that? Because they’re definitely my top choice

I know some schools are okay with that. But I don’t know about NYU and I don’t wanna hurt any chance I might have by asking that haha

i think some of us will hear tomorrow

@bosbr100

Hey~ I just called them to ask about my applications status because I submitted all my materials a month ago and my status still won’t change. I also asked them if they could possibly give me a decision before May 1st but she said NYU doesn’t do that. Right now Nursing students have priority and everyone else should be hearing back in May…

Rani0507, thanks for letting me know that =/

so I guess if we found out later we are accepted to NYU, the worst part will be losing the money we paid for the other schools deposit

I think this my be helpful for some:

“Unfortunately, we are unable to alter our review process because of deadlines set by other universities. […] most of our applicants are not notified prior to May 15.”

So, let’s not get too anxious every Thursday. It seems that we will start hearing only in mid-May, at least most of us.

Is NYU tuition with housing still around the 65K?

Hey guys, the wait is killing me can someone please chance me!

Bikistroi, I’m not an expert since I’m also an international student not so used to schools here… but for me, you seem to have a solid chance! Your college and HS GPA is great! Good luck!

To Bikistroi,
You do sound like you have a solid chance! I wouldn’t worry. Your chances are not slim, and if they’re not high, they’re slightly above that average line. The only weak part about your application would probably be either the ACT grade or that you only took 4 courses? I’m not too sure how your school does credit, but I took 6 courses last semester, and 7 courses this semester… so imo, 4 sounds very little. But it’s probably not a big deal, since everyone have their own pace and curriculum plan.

Accepted today! Clive Davis institute of Recorded Music!

Congratulations

Does NYU accept/reject you via email, mail, or website??

@kradzzzzz
The e-mail I received after submitting my application said that decisions would be sent through e-mail. Given my experience from applying last year, I’m going to go with that they only send decisions through e-mail, and there won’t be any notification on Albert (other than having transfer credit show up).

I’m in the same boat as some of you. I was just accepted to The New School, but they want a $500 deposit by May 1st!
Last year I got my rejection on April 16th (a Thursday!) and they didn’t ask me for a Mid Term Report!
I actually didn’t send one in this year cause I’m getting a B in one class and a D in another. Both are classes that will drop a low score at the END of the class, so my grade isn’t entirely accurate in either class.
I was just rejected from Fordham too :/
