Official NYU 2013 Transfer Thread

oberholzer, I think they will ask for your final grades if they really need it!
But I also would like to send mine since I hope to get all As, but I don’t know how much it will help at this point so close to decisions, as you said.

Maybe emailing them once your final grades are available and ask if you should send it… I don’t really know, good question!

i was accepted yesterday! do you think NYU will extend their deadline for me? the deadline is may 14 and i wont hear back from other schools until after then. i feel rude asking because i may choose nyu anyway i just want to see my options

congrats!!!Which school did you apply to?

college of arts and science, politics major. And if it helps anybody, I submitted my application on March 3. Congrats to everybody who got in and good luck to those waiting!

Congrats to those who got accepted!
Calliegirl123456, would you mind share more information with us? Like your year, gpa and stuff. I know it doesn’t help anything but since I’m dying in waiting, I need things to fuel my restless guessing :D

Anyone who hasn’t got all check mark till now?

Any stern acceptance yet??

I called NYU this morning and they said they began sending out decisions yesterday on a rolling basis.

However I submitted my application on Feb. 5th and all my credentials got checked off 2 weeks ago. I’m not hearing back anything, and posters above who received their decisions submitted in March.

Is this a bad sign?

Anyone in the same boat?

Hear me out folks.

what they mean by rolling basis is that they send out “waves” of acceptances and see who declines their offer, then they asses how many spaces are open and send out another “wave”

it does not matter when you submitted your application.

skqkgh123, I’m kind on the same boat! I submitted the common app on Feb. 1st and I don’t have everything checked off in Albert, but they said if they need something, they will contact me…

Hopeful2121, so does it mean they send out decisions for the strong applicants first? should i start to freak out and just accept my offer at another school? haha

Seems NYU releases decision on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so probably more people will hear back tomorrow!

For those accepted, congrats guys! This is amazing.

Just one question, did you guys get your decision by email? I heard you don’t check Albert for decisions.

no dont freak out, just be patient.

I applied early march and submitted everything yet they only have my application checked off in my NYU portal =p Not sure what this meanssssssss

bosbr100, yeah I was accepted via email

EndPhase, I got accepted without everything being checked off! I really wouldn’t stress out about that.

I was accepted yesterday via email. I didn’t submit my application until March 31st. I also got accepted without everything being checked off on Albert which I don’t really understand.

I applied to CAS in the psychology dept. I am currently a sophomore at Northeastern, and I have a 3.56 gpa. My extracurriculars include an internship at a psychological research company and also several work-study jobs. I am honestly a little surprised that I was accepted, but congrats to those of you who have been accepted!! Good luck to those who are waiting!

I also am wondering if we can delay our response because I am waiting to hear from a couple of other schools. So if anybody hears anything, please let me know!!

Congrats guys!!! What time did you get the acceptance email? Just wondering lol the waits killing me!

Does Stern send out acceptances all in one wave? Doesn’t seem like anyone’s received a decision yet :S

Seems like a lot of CAS applicants got a decision, hopefully I’ll hear something soon!

transfe, could you tell me if you like Northeastern?

If I don’t get into NYU and perhaps BU, that’s where I will be going. I also live in Boston and I always fall in love whenever I visited the campus! Any particular reason you didn’t like it?

I am also a stern applicant so maybe CAS gets their acceptances first.
