where do transfer students live?

maybe where they have space available?
i know a lot of schools are like that, not sure about nyu

Saw one Tisch acceptance on this thread already - congrats btw - any others? Specifically Dramatic Writing?

Does anyone have trouble with professors refusing to sign the midterm report? Mine’s more than a month overdue.

Rain202, I just asked each of my professors and they signed the mid-term.
Wow, I thought that was the easiest part. Good luck with yours.

Rain202:
Wow that really sucks…
I’d like to suggest two things, hope these help:

1-If you are able to view you midterm online, simply print out a copy (or have your school officially print out a copy with your school’s letterhead on the paper) and attach it to your midterm report and along add a quick formal note estating that one of your professors wasn’t “comfortable” signing your midterm. If all your other professors signed it, and they see the copy of your midterm along with that missing signature, you should be fine.
2- you could also ask your school’s official or guidance counselor to fill out that one spot, and once again have them or yourself attach a letter/quick note stating that one of your professors wasn’t confortable signing it.

In the most extreme case, just send in your midterm without that one signature, I mean don’t let your professor hold you back and waste your time for admission. They already have their life settled and they have nothing to lose. If you get in, they’ll be able to see the final grade for that class anyways.

Either way, good luck!

Thanks guys!

Any acceptance yet?

Yeah, I just received an email asking for me to send in my midyear report as well, which makes me even more anxious to receive an admissions decision. On top of that, Albert is showing me conflicting results. It says that I’m missing a transcript, yet it also says that I have nothing left on the To-Do section. Definitely calling them tomorrow for sure. All I want is a decision, is that too much to ask??! hahah

jboud1, im exactly like you! Asked for my midyear respost, but Albert hasn’t everything checked off! NYU said they will contact us in case something is missing, so I just forgot about Albert
It has been two weeks since they asked for my midterm, but no decisions yet!

Maybe more news tomorrow? they usually release decisions on Tuesdays and Thursdays

So like someone mentioned previously, will they be releasing admission decisions May 1st? (this Wednesday).

Rsxx92, I was told most of the decisions are not released before May 15th, but some people have been accepted already… so, i don’t really know when the rest of us will find out

Bosbr100:
I really hope we find out soon enough, I have a deposit due by may 1st.
Anyways, thanks for the response!

I’m a sophomore, applied to the Dramatic Writing major at Tisch and I’m extremely nervous. Been wanting this since basically the second month of my Freshman year. Gah!
Anyone else here applying for DW /Tisch?

@gregmac: Haven’t heard back yet from from NYU but I also applied to the dramatic literature major!

Rsxx92, I also have a deposit due by May 1st. I guess I will have to pay the deposit and keep praying to get accepted into NYU, even though it means losing money… I guess NYU thinks we’re all rich and we can pay as many deposits as needed hahaha

Bosbr100:
Yes yes yes! I contacted admission and that’s exactly what they told me, that I had to make a deposit to another school and if I lost it I was going to have to deal with it because it was part of the transferring process.
Which school are you making your deposit into by May 1st?

I just got accepted to Gallatin!!!

@kirsten25 Congrats!!!

I just got accepted to CAS!
good luck to everyone else!
