I saw on the other thread that tuesday and thursday mornings and afternoons were when most people received decisions.

Bosbr100: I agree with you 100% I have all these deposits due and in just sitting here waiting for nothing

Rsxx92: If I were you I would select the best school you got into at this time and put a deposit down right away if they had a May 1st deadline. After they have allowed some time to pass for people’s mailed enrollment deposits to arrive and be processed, they can and will start giving away people’s spots to those on the waitlist. Most of the schools in the top 10 or 20 are a lottery anyways, you never know what will happen at this level. I hate that it is this way, that admission decisions come out at all different times and the transfer deadline is May 1st here and June 1st there, but $200-500 is worth throwing away if you get into a better school later, you never know what will happen. Take that for what it’s worth. Back in high school a girl I knew waited to put down a deposit, then she got rejected from her top 2 schools and had to go to community college for a year because they rejected her late deposit.

Michaeldeblasio: what you said was very smart and very logical; I have to agree with you, I can’t risk my spot like that especially since I got a $19,500 scharship with them (that doesn’t include fafsa, etc). I’ll get that ready and send the deposit in by this upcoming Monday.

Okay, now I’m afraid hahaha
I got an extension in one of my top schools so far, should I be worried they will give away my spot? :S

Bosbr100: If you have an approved extension from the Admissions Office, follow the guidelines set forth in the extension and your spot will be secure. Take note that depending on your school and your academic and financial situation, some Admission Offices will also consider a request for enrollment deposit exemption/waiver. As time passes over the deadline, these exemptions become less and less likely to be granted as schools are aware that some prospective students are hedging their bets. The majority of schools that abide by the National Decision Day use a discretionary deadline. That is to say, if you don’t pay on May 1st, after a reasonable time has passed (who knows how long reasonable is, could be 1 day or 1 week), they will start pulling names off the waitlist and you may lose your spot. That’s not to say that in the history of enrollment deposits all people placing their deposits x days after May 1st have forfeited their spot, it all depends on class capacity.

hi!
am i the only person who still has some documents not checked as received? i know they’ll contact me if they need something, but this just makes me wonder whether they’re just processing applications slowly or i’m that bad of a candidate they decided to not even care about my application being complete
ugh
i actually have gotten no decisions from any university i’ve applied to so far… what is going on?

nikanikanika, don’t worry! My HS transcript is not checked off in Albert either.
I am still waiting to hear back form a few other schools too… I’m sure you’ll hear back from schools soon! Good luck

@ Nikanikanika My HS transcript hasn’t been checked off either. Don’t worry. Let’s be patient and see.

For me everything is marked off except for the sat/act (they finally checked everythin else off last night). I didn’t submit my sat/act cause I’ve been in college for two years, but the fact that they didn’t mark off the sat/act requirents and left it blank really worries me…

@Rsxx92 that’s definitely fine. Those scores are optional.

Rebecca329: thanks for the response!

@nikanikanika you are not the only one. My documents have yet to be checked off an were all sent in a little early.

That’s so weird cause they checked off my SAT/ACT scores but I didn’t send any in, I never even took the SAT/ACTs.
I’m so anxious to hear!
Again, I didn’t send in a midterm report cause it looks a little bleak now, when I know my final grades will look better.
They haven’t asked me for it either…
Kinda worried :(

Hey guys, I was accepted to Tisch on April 18th. How would I know if I got a scholarship or a financial aid package? Was that supposed to come with the acceptance letter? Or is that sent separately…

There are still people with application materials not checked off? I hope they are farther along than that and stopped updating checklists. I completed my application 3/12 and everything was checked off by 3/19. When did you all apply?

123amb, not sure about NYU, but I know most schools send them separately.

michaeldeblasio, I hope so! I submitted the common app on 2/1 and all my materials by 3/15

The financial aid is supposed to be shown on Albert a bit after your acceptance if you filed the fafsa.

Michaeldeblasio: I submitted my application on January 15 and they didn’t check anything off until 2 days ago. The sat/act requirement is still not checked off.

@123amb in the email, they said it would take 3 days for the financial aid award to be available.
