<p>@mp1234 March 17th. But I’ve wanted to apply to NYU for about a year and a half now-- since around November, 2011.</p>
<p>Can anyone give me any insight into NYU Gallatin versus Dartmouth as a transfer from Duke for someone interested in getting a solid education in both film production and finance?</p>
<p>@NedNickerson NYU is a great school but still not comparable to Dartmouth, I think it would be stupid to choose NYU over Dartmouth. NYU Gallatin only allows you take take limited credits at stern so i dont think its good option for a “solid education in finance”.</p>
<p>however you can take economic/business courses at CAS</p>

<p>That was my fear. But I definitely did not realize that you could only take limited classes at Stern, that might be a deal breaker for me. @mp1234 also, thank you for your input. I will look into that as well. :)</p>

<p>@mp1234 I wasn’t, which makes me really nervous. Then I was thinking… I’m a sophomore, my transcript included my freshman year plus first semester of this year and in that semester I had straight As so maybe that was enough for them? Maybe not. My school’s out though so I’m waiting on one more grade for this semester and then I’ll call to see if they want my transcript from this semester.</p>
<p>@dewey13 they might ask you for it. See the person who applied on 1st march was asked for a mid-term today. They probably haven’t gotten to your application yet. NYU says they send out decisions on rolling basis. As for me i submitted my application on April 1st only, so i guess ill have to wait for a while. What school did you apply to?</p>

<p>@mp1234 Tisch. I was told decision is based 50% on grades and 50% on portfolio so maybe they won’t ask for a midterm report, but we’ll see. Waiting is really tough. Good luck to all of us!</p>
<p>@dewey13 I applied to Tisch too and I’m hearing that we probably won’t know until May 15th but some people have already been accepted so there is a chance we may hear earlier.</p>
