Man, this is depressing me so much. I applied to tisch as a drama transfer, so i guess i was probably rejected since I didn’t hear anything today. I applied last year to Steinhardt, but was waitlisted.
I don’t know why but NYU has such a hold on my heart. It’s really disgusting actually. It really sucks that so much of my happiness and self worth is based off of a stupid school. I realize that not getting into NYU is not the end of the world, but it’s hard to convince my heart.

are there any tisch drama transfers who have been accepted yet? the post above says its just film and dramatic writing

Maybe stern tomorrow?

Got accepted to Tisch photo today! No email though.

@Rsxx92 They’ve only sent out about 50 Gallatin acceptances at this point, according to the transfer adviser. I don’t think they’ve rejected anyone yet or even accepted everyone they want. The 50 were just their “top picks.” Gallatin has its own weird admissions process that I don’t fully understand but I guess that’s what you should expect from a school of individualized study. I’ve heard they focus a lot on whether it’s the right fit for the student. If it’s not, you may not be accepted, even if you’re a strong applicant.

Jawarpaw: thanks for the very informative response!

Waiting is really tough. But anyone knows what we can do now? Like sending midterm-report, others things we can do now to help the admission results?

Cheer up Gilmore1316. I know it really sucks being rejected twice and keep doubting ourselves based on the stupid rejections… Let’s try not to think anything negative before actually got the decision!! Let’s just laugh about how anxious we are at this point after receiving the big offer(hopefully this thurday)!!

@extremelyhopeful I’m a drama transfer too and based on years past it should be by the 16th!
ps CONGRATS TO ALL TISCH STUDENTS WHO WERE ACCEPTED! and everyone else of course :)

Any info on when/if Steinhardt decisions will be out/have come out?

@123amb @dewey13

wohoooooo hahahahah
:)

Totally random question! Did you guys get any info on your albert portal for financial aid stuff yet? Im OVER THE MOON excited that I got in…but…I also am a little tiny concerned about financial aid. Well…scratch that…I am really, really, concerned.

Just to offer my two cents, I received a gallatin acceptance more than two weeks ago, and a day after they asked for an unofficial copy of my midterm report…and I had sent in my application a week late as well, so I think the process for Gallatin is totally different…

Also is there a facebook group for (prospective) transfers?

Thanks

@littlepea123 I got my financial aid and it is ABYSMAL. Only 8500 per year. Transfers also cannot appeal or get more money until after the fall semester. Even then it’ll only be a few thousand if you get stellar grades. Be prepared to pay/ take loans for about 50k per year.

For all you stern appicatiants in Albert do any transfer or financial aid thing show up or does it say unavailable at this time or no awards?

@NedNickerson You should make a Facebook group! I was accepted to Gallatin, too.

Hey-just tried making a facebook group. I need to add at least one friend to make it though, so can you private message me your name so we can become facebook friends and i can add you to the group?

If I am going about this wrong, please feel free to correct me. Thanks!

Anyone not heard from gallatin? I’m starting to get worried because I haven’t heard yet. Unless they’re going to accept more than 50 people. I’m worried only rejections are left.

Yeah I haven’t heard from gallatin either

I’m also still waiting on Gallatin.

me tooo!!!
