Daughter accepted to Tisch Dance today!!!

@sarahh9688, I was accepted to Tisch photo! I just gave them a call and they said that they will email me soon.

For everyone else who was accepted, when/how did you find out about your aid packages? Did it show up on Albert or did you receive a separate email? Also, did your transfer credits show up immediately? Mine still says that they are unavailable. How long did it take for aid/credits to show up? Sorry for asking so many questions!

yayy tischies so happy for you both!!!

Congrats to everyone who was accepted!!! were there even any rejections sent out today?

Ugh, you guys are making me for sure know ill most likely be rejected
I figured my awesome letter of rec and amazing ECs and essays would erase the fact that my HS and College GPA are pretty bad, 2.9 and 3.2… And I haven’t been asked for a midterm report. And no green button has appeared or anything like that

What’s worse is the other school I’ve applied to has only given me about 2000 a year in Fin aid but is just as expensive as NYU… :/

Any stern acceptance?

I think since they request some students to admit their mid-term report by 5/13,

the decision is not coming to us by then…

I am a stern applicant who got that mid-term report request. We will find out next week then.

Anyone hear from gallatin today? I’m getting so anxious

I also never got a midterm report request. I got a 4.0 every semester. But somehow I don’t think I’m an off the charts applicant. So frustrated!

@JaguarPaw, probably going to enroll. I haven’t heard anything from my other school but Tisch has everything I want for dramatic writing

@jlargo thanks!

I wasn’t asked for a midterm report either

@searising You probably ARE an above average applicant with those stats.

Accepted to Tisch for theatre this morning. I received the email at 8:32AM EST. PRAISE GOD!
I’ve been awaiting this day and stalking this thread for so long. I told my mother that once I was accepted, I would create an account and actual post. Congrats to those whom the university has accepted. Good luck to those still waiting. I KNOW HOW MUCH WAITING SUCKS! I was told that all decisions should be sent out by the end of next week or the end of the month, at the latest.

That green button that appears on Albert is not as glorious as it seems, though. I’m sure you all know to accept, you must pay the deposits. Thankfully, they have agreed to defer the costs and allow my Gates-Millennium scholarship to cover them once I am at the University.

Called Clive Davis and the decision will come within two weeks. Wow they are making me anxious as hell…

^ Congrats.
It seems like the majority CAS and Stern applicants will hear later.

@kimm328 what’s your GPA?

No one else heard from gallatin today? I suppose it’s still early.

Rain202… It’s a 3.8 for college and 4.31 highschool

may i ask a question:

what does the button “accept/decline” which appears on “admissions offer” page means? Does that mean that if I accept, I must pay the deposit immdediately and no longer able to be admitted by other schools?

Thanks! And wish everyone good luck~!

^^ When you click the green button, you choose the option to accept, and it asks if you would like to pay both, the housing deposit and tuition deposit or just the tuition deposit. It then prompts you for an eCheck or credit card as methods of payment.

They also make it very clear in the acceptance email that transfers are not allowed to defer admission; you must enroll for the semester for which you were accepted.

@kevinyuan136 you can surely attend another university after paying, but you forfeit any money you sent as a deposit. It will not be retuned to you.
