Applied to CAS not an above average applicant haven’t been asked for midterm report. haven’t heard of anything as well. Does that mean I’m rejected?
Heart-broken

offtopic: does anyone know if i’m doomed and they will rethink their admissions offer if i have 1 B+ in my final grades (my midterm had all As or A-'s)?

If I havent heard back from CAS, is that a bad sign?

Woke up this morning to a Tisch rejection email. Well, I knew that was coming…

@nikanikanika
I am in exactly the same situation. 6 A’s and 1 B+. I hope the single B won’t hurt.

I was accepted two days ago, already paid my deposit, and today I called the admissions office to ask if I should mail my transcript to them or to my department. The woman said I don’t have to send it anywhere and that once I meet with an adviser I need to bring a copy of it and we’ll discuss what can transfer. If this is the case, why is there a transfer credit section on Albert? Anyone know anything about this?

how come people are only being accepted and no ones being rejected? Does NYU send rejections last?

@Thechance00

thanks for your reply~!

I am a transfer applicant from China so maybe my English is not that good to make myself clear…

I want to know what if I do nothing (neither accept nor decline the offer) before May 30th? Nothing will happen right? Will the take in their offer if I do not click the “accept” button, say 7 days after my decision is out?

Thanks a lot~! Hope to see you guys in NYC~!

Oh they are rejecting people. It’s just that those who are being rejected choose not to tell anyone about it, including CC

if you haven’t been accepted or rejected yet, what does that mean?

110760 bro that means that sometime soon either ull be accepted or rejected lol

@Yankeemonkey683 how do you know people are getting rejected. Did some one you know receive a rejection? also which school did you apply to?

Did anyone receive news from stern? Rejection or acceptance? For all those who were rejected did I say something on Albert?

How many applicants do they usually accept for CAS?

In the acceptance, they mention that you can’t alter your current coursework, in any way without notifying them. (Who would, it’s the end of the semester?) They say they want you to maintain the type of work you were doing during your application review, however, once you’re admitted, final grades/transcripts mainly function for transfer credit purposes. The credits that we see now are for the fall semester; they did not put in progress credits. Remember that admissions decisions are holistic (they have to be because I did not get in based on grades alone, trust me). That being said, I don’t think any accepted students should fret about an “average” grade on a final transcript. From all that we provide, I think they recognize our strengths. The most valuable thing I’ve ever heard from someone regarding this process is that schools look for reasons to admit you, not reasons to deny. In the summer, they can no longer offer your space to someone else, so why would they pass up the thousands you’ll pay in tuition for an average grade, if they can’t replace you? You all will be fine!

Hoping they look more than grades because i did poorly in one class. Maybe they will see it as a one of performance, who knows?

Under financial aid is anyone’s showing up 2014 too?

^ mine says 2013.

ACCEPTED TO STEINHARDT!!
3:10 pm

@kimm328, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Were you sent an email with your acceptance letter or did you find out through albert?
