Anyone accepted by Steinhardt a MCC major?

@aman8a I’m still waiting for the decision. Applied for MCC Steinhardt as well. Did you hear back yet? Man i’m getting really really nervous and pessimistic.

I’m also an MCC and I haven’t heard back yet.

Also a fellow Steinhardt MCC applicant that hasn’t heard yet! Maybe they just did Steinhardt psych today??

Officially accepted to Steinhardt (MCC) at 3:09PM on Thursday-5/9!!!

Does anyone know how many people they usually accept to MCC? Seems pretty competitive since a bunch of people applied!

We will most likely find out from stern next week as previous years decisions were released in mid - may and the fact that I needed to submit a midterm report by 5:00 pm on Monday May 13th.

Hang in there.

When I finished my transfer application on April 1st, I already had to get a midterm report from my profs because the common app required it.

Can anyone explain the whole midterm reports being due on the 13th thing for stern prospects?

^same I mailed mine around March 15. Why do they ask for midterm grades and not final grades at this point? Do they give transfer credit based on the midterm report?

I am currently attending a university on the quarter system and finish my quarter in mid june so at least in my case they probably wanted to know how I am currently doing in my classes.

Ouch. Just received my rejection from Fordham University (They accepted me last year as a freshman, weird right?). Since Fordham is considered ‘easier’ to get into than NYU, things aren’t looking so good for me right now! XD

@Yankeemonkey683 I’m sure you will still be OK… sometimes it really is just luck and due to space (which is probably the case seeing as you got in as a freshman)… I applied to Fordham too and got my acceptance at the beginning of April!

… I’m waiting for my reply from Steinhardt for Music Business… they e-mailed today asking about mid-term reports though? I’m sick of waiting I just wanna know…

Hey! Taroon,
If I’m not wrong, you have applied to the Cornell AEM and have been posting on the transfer thread, right?

As far as I see, your stats are definitely sub par and you definitely have a good chance at stern. I would say better chance at stern than AEM.

I was rejected to Fordham also! It’s been rough… Haha

Damn I’m on the quarter system at a UC and was not asked for a midterm report for my 3rd quarter. Looks like I was rejected.

@BankofInvestment

Yea, I did also apply for the Cornell AEM program and have not yet heard back. I thought stern was harder to get into than the Cornell AEM program.

Either way, I would be happy if I received an acceptance from any of these two great universities :)

Just curious how are my stats sub par?

I hope we hear back within the next two weeks… I have a deposit due in the 24th, so it would help if NYU send out decisions before that.

Hey guys, does anyone know if it’s way harder to get into NYU than it is to BU? I was just accepted to BU’s COM, and I was wondering if NYU is still more selective…

@ taroon I saw that and thought it was a typo. You’re stats are definitely not sub par and I wish I had them! Good luck to you :)

Dear lord. Your. I know my grammar and mechanics, just shouldn’t have written a post first thing in the morning :3
