@alowbryant
thx, good luck:)

guys, I still don’t have my Albert Username, should I call them(NYU)?

alowbryant, when did you submit your Common App and NYU supplement?

Hey guys! I wish goodluck to everyone on this thread, one more month of waiting sigh
I would really appreciate it if you could give me a feedback about my chances:
Applied to: CAS International Relations
Applied from: mid 150’s nationally ranked university in NY; im currently an international student majoring in economics
College GPA: 3.925 GPA in the first semester (took 4 classes only; 2 introductory, 1 intermediate and 1 advanced)
Credits: will have 33 by the end of the year (taking summer classes)
SAT/ACT: submitting ACT, took 2 times, highest was a 28 Composite (32 Math, 31 Science, 24 English, 23 Reading); if superscored, my Composite will be 29 (32 Math, 31 Science, 27 English, 24 Reading)
TOEFL: 110/120
Midterm Report: 4.0 GPA (taking 4 classes again; three introductory and 1 advanced; very nice comments from my professors)
HS GPA: around 3.80/4 Unweighted
LORs: got one from a PoliSci professor, should be solid (probably decent)
College ECs: i think its my weak point because im active in only 2 college clubs, but i interned for a city government and a national university during the winter break in my home country (located in central asia), also volunteered for a month at a hospital during the summer vacation in my home country
HS ECs: Student Govt President, soccer team captain, Model UN Club President, School newspaper business manager, yearbook designer, volunteer at my school
Also applied to: Columbia and a bunch of CUNYs. I think my chances for Columbia are slim because the classes I have taken are not rigorous enough, same might apply to my chances for NYU.
Thanks a tonnn!!!

alowbryant, I don’t have a username either. I submitted the application a few hours before deadline.

@vinney0605 I got it today. but I noticed that only my application fee was checked off.

BTW, according to NYU’s Thursday theory, tomorrow some admissions would be released.

good luck all

alowbryant, I heard about NYU releasing admissions on Thursday, but isn’t it too early to hear something from them? Since we’re still in April…

I really wish some people start hearing just so we have an idea… but seems a little bit early for that

Last year, some decisions were released in early April. I think those are the strongest applicants.

Do you guys have everything checked off?

I have everything checked off

is it possible to be a freshman spring transfer? if so, how can one have 32 credits in one semester? (are the credits supposed to be only from college?)

I have everything checked off, I completed everything early February. When can we expect to hear back?

I don’t have everything checked off =/ Should I relax and hope NYU will contact me in case they’re missing something? That’s what I was told…

I promised I would stop checking Albert everyday, but I can’t help myself…

Yes, probably the strong ones will start hearing back from NYU! Oh yeah, not my case haha =/

When did you submit everything?

My scores are:

College GPA: 3.85
Credits: 45
SAT: 2050
HS GPA: 3.45
ECs: A couple clubs, no e-board positions.
Work Experience: Ran own business, an internship, etc.

I go to a top 50 business school. Transferring as a junior.

You think I have a good chance? Nervous.

I called them today, and the lady on the phone told me that everything’s received, but not everything got checked off yet…

@Overlord207 Are you applying to Stern? I think you have a decent chance.

I sent all my materials on mid-February.
I will give them a call to see if that’s the case then, that Albert is not updated! Thanks guys

And @Overlord207, you seem to have a good chance!

One more thing, I’m happy to see that many international students are applying to NYU as transfers! We’re in the same boat haha good luck for all of us :)

Just wondering… I heard Stern likes math courses but where did this information come from?

Tomorrow will be fun

Yes I am applying to NYU Stern.

What is tomorrow? We will hear back?
