Self explanitory, jsut anything related to ED, culminating in acceptance/rejection notices in december.
When submitting your app, did you guys realize you wish you would have done more in highs chool to make you more competitive?
Im applying to Stern, btw, and just saw how horrible my app was compared to others. I kina gave up hope, but hey, whats there to lose. lol. I just retook my SAT's today, and HOPEFULLY, they will get there in time. Whats your thoughts/concerns about nyu or anything ed related?

I was suppose to take my Subject Tests today, but....I had work. -_- Oh well, I didn't need them for Tisch anyway. I was just a retard and did horribly on them last time in June, hope they don't count it against me.

But yeah, I can't wait till decisions. I'm fairly confident...for now, heh.

I'm interested to see if there's any change in the number of ED applicants this year (it's usually around 3,000) due to the current state of the economy and such.

^^ That's an interesting thought, I bet that could end up being the case. (Or at least I hope so, hah.)

I wish I had gotten more community service, but honestly I just never had time! I've had a job for most of high school, and my ECs totally suck up whatever time left after work and HOMEWORK. Senior year I have probably pulled at least 1 all nighter per week. It's bad.

did anyone else here end up applying Gallatin ED?

I applied Gallatin ED! And I'm really nervous about getting in :/. Like if I had applied to CAS, I think I would be fine, but I'm nervous since Gallatin seems to be more selective.

do you all think it's possible that less ED apps could actually hurt?
I mean, if they only get 2,000 apps, but want to keep the admission percentage the same, then that would mean about 600 people get in.

Hopefully, they would want to keep the number of admits the same and let around 1,100 in, ahaha.

I doubt it'll be 2,000, and even if the ED apps are low, the RD could be the same so they wouldn't necessarily have to admit less people unless they just wanted their ED acceptance rate to still be low.

eh, i don't think close to 2,000 (or at least closer to 2,000 than 3,000) is so crazy...

and, yeah, my point was that it would actually be bad for EDers if they wanted the percentage of accepted ED students to stay the same.

yea, hopefully they will be money hungry and accept more ED so they could get more tuition money. lol, cause we are pretty much the only for sure ones that are going upon acception, and RD kids should hopefully think its not worth the money =]

I think Stern ED will be less competitive because alot of people will not be interested, or even pessimistic about business in the state of the current economy, so hopefully ppl will think theres no money left in the field. lol.

dancer, what did you say you wanted to study?

dancer, oh jk. i remember asking you that before

anorexic_abe, I hope you're right. I applied ED to Stern. > <

I'm not going to count on the economy affecting decisions, I mean, NYU is still a top-notch university and it's not like they're going to drop their standards, you know what I mean?

Haha rstlne, I'm been the opposite of that. I've kinda been ignoring my school work lately cause I've been so focus on doing my applications and scholarships and stuff, haha. I guess I'll start doing hw again this week, lol.

yeah ugh i gotta do an all nighter tonight. i just procrastinate so much lately.

oh and i read somewhere that nyu does not have a limit on how many people that they can accept for ED, if that makes yall feel better. it sure makes me feel better!

applied to CAS for Econ. .. now the waiting game begins.

only bad thing I did was that i didn't apply for fiancial aid.
o well =/

well in any economy there's always recovery. besides it seems that the economy affects every sector anyway in various different crises in history

I applied to CAS for economics too! I think there are a LOT of econ majors in the ED pool at CAS. eep...I hope it doesn't really hurt my chances.

I don't think NYU will drop their admissions standards, but if there are less ED applicants they might be able to accept a greater percentage of students.
