P.s. 21 days!

I'm from Dallas originally. :-)
I really hope we're the only two texas applicants (ha!) then they'd need us!

I'm from Dallas originally, then I moved to NM, and I just moved back in January.
I know! However, I do know of two other Dallas applicants. One for Steinhardt and the other for the nursing school. So we should be safe. :)

are you CAS also?

I don't think there are any other ones in my area, at least not at my school...
I'm sure Plano and HP have at least one or two more...
and some of the Austin and Houston schools have at least a few...

:-/
maybe not though.

PS: in an effort to be real new yorkers, lets start calling it "How-stin."

btw IMPORTANT MESSAGE
for all you guys doing the countdown...
FORGET ABOUT IT
I called the admissions office today and they said that they will start emailing the decisions the FIRST WEEK OF DECEMBER
sooooooo
NEXT WEEK
omg
some of us will know our fate in just a couple of days

So close people! Still no NYU dream for me. I don't know, I'm kind of not nervous about it at all. Just anxious to know, finally, officially. Haha btw I have an NYU binder, it's kinda falling apart but I can't let it go until I know. I know, you're probably thinking "ew what a loser" lmao

Oh and I was just reading my personal statements again cause I was going to recycle them for a scholarship, and I had a grammer mistake on one of them. "Pass to on" instead of "pass on to". -_- I must have looked over that thing like a billion times, can't believe I never caught that!

Oh well.

It doesn't help that every person who sees me goes: OH MAN YOU'RE GOING TO NY I'VE GOTTA GO SEE YOU WHEN YOU'RE THERE AND YOU GOTTA BRING ME AROUND THE BIG APPLE OK OK OK OK OK?!??!??!?! 8D 8D 8D
[/quote]

Lmao nobody ever says the Big Apple around here, it's kinda like having bright flashing neon lights that read TOURIST.

Haha what the hell? That's a Jersey accent. I just say hue-stin.

Why so early hannah? Did you find out? Less people applied ED?

chris, i meant we should call the texas city by the same name as the new yrok street.

and no, I don't know yet.

i'm 90% sure that i'm not getting in though.

Fordham 2013! (hopefully... I could not get in there.)

if GSP letters are coming out next week then I'm pretty sure that I'm either getting one, or (far more likely) rejected......

also, i really want to read my essay again, but i'm scared it's bad. haha

I just read it.
it's awful, I am not going to college.

i'm also talking to no one...

ihatesats - SERIOUSLY?! EMAIL? I don't believe it. Are you sure it's not just for international kids?

hannah - Yeah well HP is full of rich kids that are practically getting a private school education, and Plano has like 50 billion kids. So I wouldn't doubt it.
Don't give up hope yet. You applied CAS ED, and you've got good stats. I have faith in you!

hahaha thanks!
good luck to you too.

i'd guess that ihatesats just typo-ed... I don't think they'd email.

I posted on the NYU forum to ask. I've reached obsession.

Could we get some clarification on the whole next week emails thing??? I just looked on the NYU admissions site and they said they'll start mailing decisions late the week of the 8th.

Yeah...it says:

November 2008

The majority of admissions decisions for Early Decision applicants will be mailed toward the end of the week of December 8th. (Please note that we said "the majority" and not "all".) Most of the remaining decisions will be in the mail by the end of the following week.

So it could be even longer than the 15th? UGHHHH

ahhh this sucks. im sitting here working on my other applications and all i can think about it nyu. sigh

and as for the optimism, i totally know what you guys mean. My friends are always like, omg dont worry you're gonna get it. I feel like im gonna let everyone down, including myself if i dont get in.

Screw back-ups! It's NYU or bust! lol

Lol they're probably just saying that so a bunch of people don't go harrassing them when they don't get their letters as early as they'd like.

Yeah, and I've noticed that nobody says "Good luck" or even "I bet you get in"...they're all saying "you'll get in". They're jinxing it! Haha.

Haha yeah people just do that

Haha I mean, what do you want them to say? "No, you won't get in"? lmao
