See, THIS is why I want to go to NYU...to have intelligent conversations with people about things that matter without fear of being criticized for displaying any characteristics that may be considered "different" than the norm. I'm sorry if I get tired of talking about The Hills or Gossip Girl; there are more stimulating topics to be uncovered.

Haha me? intelligence? Get outta here lmao. I like to talk about my share of farts and Gossip Girl as well. haha jk btw my school is nothing like Gossip Girl. We're a overcrowded, urban, public HS where everyone knows a lot of people but it's way too big for anyone to actually be "popular".

My friend just got her GSP letter today (applied to CAS). We live north of Boston... I haven't gotten anything (applied to Stern) and neither has another one of my friends (CAS)

Oh shiz, nice! Tell your friend I said congrads. NYU's really getting things done early this year.

Yeah when I got that letter, it was dated the 13th and then postmarked the 20th. I'm so happy NYU felt that there was at least some urgency involved by only waiting a week to mail it. Hahaha.

LOL Carina! Same here, mine was dated the 13th and postmarked the 13th. Course it didn't get to me until the 22nd cause it's such a big journey from Manhattan to Queens. -_-

Ah Congrads greenelf! This is crazy, we're finally getting word! So happy for you! The first CC person to get an acceptance. :) Is the big envelope as sexy as it appears? Haha

I wish I could check my mail...
I'm thinking I got a few letters from Bitter Disappointment and Broken Dreams today, but probably nothing from NYU.

CONGRATS GREENELF! That's awesome!! Oh my gosh, I can't believe this is happening now. Just think about all of the kids next year that will be reading and re-reading this thread. :)

Haha jeez, Chris. Who knows how that gets accomplished. I say we petition for emailed decisions. This whole mail thing is soooo 20th century!

Lmao lets just hope whatever happens to us doesn't kill their hopes like last year's thread.

Nah chill, emails are so not as dramatic as mail! Besides, I hear they sometime send sweatshirts and pillow cases in the envelopes. :) Can't exactly attach a sweatshirt to an email can ya?

Naw, you're kidding! Well, I already have one sweatshirt. I guess you probably can't ever have enough NYU sweatshirts...or pillowcases for that matter?

If you go there and enter your NYU ID/Social Security, DOB, and e-mail, you'll get one of two responses:
1) It will tell you your nyu e-mail address (meaning you got accepted)
2) You'll get an error (meaning either a decision hasn't been made yet, or you got denied)

Good luck ;)

It worked last year and the system is the same this year. To those who have already gotten their acceptance letters: you're supposed to do this to register anyway, so give it a try.

Not to create panic but they usually send out acceptance letters first, rejections last. Big white packet = accept. Thin envelope = reject.

hahha, fyi I did it last year and I found out a good week or two in advance. best feeling ever when you see your initials @ nyu.edu. thought i'd just pass on the secrets. all of this is in last year's forum, the year before's, and allll of the nyu transfer threads.
