yes, I am from texas. :-)

I also heard from someone, that they might accept more EDers this year, in light of the economy.

See Hannah! You can be a positive thinker! I dont know how much truth there is to that, but if it was true, It would be AWESOME!

hahaha. It would be awesome b/c it would be more likely that I'd get in, but not awesome, because it's then more embarrassing if i don't. ;-)

for real real though... I hope they are doing that.

I know what you mean about embarassing, I feel like if I don't get in its going to be a letdown for everybody because everyone who knows (which are a lot more people than I wanted to know) are like, "You'll get in! When can I visit you?". :

But still I think being positive is the only thing you can do at this point, and I'm trying to remain that way. But I'm seriously like losing sleep over nervousness. And eating Ben & Jerry's to console myself, which actually doesn't work all to well. Oh and I'm being really anal about checking the mail, like even now when they haven't even sent the letters. I think I'm losing my mind.

And Bryan, you'll appreciate NYU's liberal-ness even more than me then! I'm lucky to be in Maryland where there are a lot of politically active liberal people since I live close to D.C., but I still think NYU is somehow going to surpass my area's liberal-ness, because I mean its NEW YORK CITY. <3

I'm been crying myself to sleep over nyu since sophomore year (i feel like i've said this before...)
it's surreal in a way, that it's all about to be over.

And let's hope its a happy ending, Hannah. :) Which I'm positive it will be.
I guess I've just come to a point where I've realized stressing/crying isn't going to make a difference at this point, they already made the decision now we just wait and see what happens.

So instead of sleeping, I just skimmed through last year's ED Decision thread... Basically there is no way in hell that I'm getting in to NYU and I'm going to proceed to bed severely depressed.

And damn, last year's applicants talked a lot about television. So... what does everyone watch this year?

I heard for the HEOP information that there will be two short writing things. I think basically its like the short responses on the NYU application extension.

One of them is what you want to do when you grow up or somewhere along those lines.

Lets say I want to be a politician(seriously lol) how could I write about it? I know they have bad reputations lol. But I think it's a noble job to help out the people in your community and w.e. I just don't know how to explain it well.

Anyone can help me? =]

i don't know how to turn on my tv lol

gossip girl is the greatest show of our time.

Not all politicians have bad reputations... only most of them do (and most of them are republicans anyway, so who cares).

Well... Ask your self. Why do you want to be a politician? Do you have any goals in this profession? Is there a current politician who you look up to or someone who inspired you to want to work in this field?

Heroes is the best lol
Prison Break ain't bad too haha

what is the academic expectations booklet?

So I'm a little scared to ask, and don't know yet if I can bring myself to use it...but do you think the NetID thing works now if they sent out the letters?

i doubt it, and I am going to wait for my letter, because there is too much uncertainty with the Net ID thing.

Hi guys, this is from the Columbia ED board. Good luck to you all!! I know how much we all love New York City!!

Judging from the responses when the NetID trick was first posted, not a lot of people have tried it, so no one can tell. Maybe a handful tried it really early but that was about it. Look at last year's threads and it started working week of ED releases.

My other friend from my school got LSP'd in addition to my other friend who found out the day after Thanksgiving. I am the only one remaining...

Anyone trying the NetID thing? I'm too scared to try it, I think I might prefer waiting.

My friend found out the day after Thanksgiving but she didn't say it was LSP. I assume now that it is because it all makes sense.

In any case, I am LSP'd too but I was hoping to transfer from NYU after two years if I were to be accepted to CAS.
