Anyone transferring to Stern besides the OP?
@isabellasa were the two forms exactly?
@nts1373 one is the midterm report form and the other is transfer college report form
so is nyu already offering admissions?i saw that they came out on may 15th last year.
@trnsfrstdnt no way. From last years thread I saw that admission decisions were already being sent as early as April 5th and that was on a Thursday.
What @baddiarydays is saying is true. Admissions decision do have a past history of being released on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
whoa. that’s super quick. do you think CAS will be coming out soon then?
Guys I got bad news… Well not bad but very scary news for everyone.
As I checked on the latests trends for NYU today, I saw that this year, NYU broke the number of applicants that applied. Out of 60,000 students that did apply, only 31% were accepted. This is a freshman class. That means the acceptance rate dropped this year for NYU by 3%. That also means less seats available for transfers. NOBODY PANIC… Yet…
Remain calm for now.
My brother was accepted for Class of 2019 (and he’s going) lol they also raised tuition so that may be an issue for current students (and possibly cause more people to transfer out). I don’t think the incoming classes’s acceptance rate is much concern for us since we’re not competing against that applicant pool, you know? It seems like the number of fall transfer applicants has roughly stayed the same throughout the years
yea we’re filling in for those that drop out/transfer/etc
@Cannova93 I’m also applied for CCTOP, did you have to send in your midterm report?
@angellim I didn’t send my midterm report, just the college transfer report.
@Cannova93 college transfer report? whats that?
I visited NYU over spring break and an admissions counselor told me that Steinhardt transfer applicants should get their decisions by the end of april
@yankees625 do you know when CAS transfer applicants will get their decisions?
No sry but I’m sure it will be very soon as well. I sent in my midterm report today but now I’m thinking they might not have needed them because they’re sending out decisions so soon
@yankees625 did you send in your college report as well?
if thats my college transcript, then yes. I also applied in january so I’m hoping that the fact I applied earlier will give me a decision earlier.
On the common app, at least for me, there were two forms: college report form and a midterm form. On the NYU instruction for transfer website (http://www.nyu.edu/admissions/undergraduate-admissions/apply/transfer-applicants/instructions.html) it does not state that midterm forms are required for transfer eligibility. Only the college report is required… At least from that checklist.
Is it possible to get the decision before May?
@TheOneInCS it is possible to get a decision before May unless you’re applying to Stern/Tisch since they tend to hear back last.
