Tisch applicant (Film/TV, of course), currently a sophomore English Lit/Poli Sci major at Clemson University. My application was submitted Feb. 6 with all portfolio supplements in by Feb 11.

Hey guys! I emailed NYU and they said the average GPA for accepted transfer CAS applicant is a 3.5 good luck!

That average GPA seems a little low…
I asked about the average GPA for accepted fall 2014 transfer student, and this is what she exactly said, “The average GPA for an admitted transfer student is a 3.5.”
@baddiarydays I agree. The average GPA for Steinhardt is a 3.6 that means that the average GPA for CAS must certainly be higher than a 3.5.
Maybe you guys are right, the response was responded by the admission officer of NYU, anyway I guess this is just reference.
@isabellasa I guess I was just expecting a higher gpa for CAS but 3.5 is a nice number

I can’t believe this. Just got rejected and they still did not receive all materials.

Current School; U of Rochester
GPA: 3.9 for previous three semesters and got a 3.85 on my mid-term reprot.
I took all hard class and almost finish my math major before my junior year(only two courses left)

Current School; Penn State Main Campus
GPA: 3.9 for previous semester and got a 3.9 on my mid-term report.
SAT: low 1900s
High School GPA: 3.7 something…I forgot…
Ethnicity: Asian
