Ah! So long! So I have been constantly refreshing my e-mail for nothing :(

Me too. I am still continually looking up at my inbox. Juuuust in case.

your patience has to pay off guys:) hope you ll get in

i got rejected hehe
probably because i applied for a full ride FA …
SAT : 2250 (CR 730, MATH 800, WR 720)
SAT2 : MATH2 800 PHYSICS 760 CHEM 740
RANK : 5/1200 (BIG SCHOOL IN CHINA)
OH AND I’M AN INTERNATIONAL chinese…
not really depressed cause i already got into colgate with a full ride scholarship so congrats to all those who got in, good luck to those waitlisted, and u’ll get into a really good school to those who were rejected like me.

^that’s absolutely insane…
Don’t feel bad though, college admissions are crazy. Colgate is an awesome school and you are going to get in like everywhere else…
Even though I’m domestic, that really scares me…

I got accepted too! Yayy! I love Oberlin…Apparently Oberlin’s been very picky with internationals this time who applied for aid. I’m Indian; anyone from the subcontinent in the class of '14?

Me too…How much did you ask for?

Ahh this is really frightening! I am applying next year (I live in the states though) and am most likely going to need pretty much full aid. After reading cdld2008’s brilliant stats, it’s obvious aid is one of the primary factors for internationals this year at Oberlin. Nevertheless, good luck to all! I’m sure y’all will do well at any college!

Oberlin is need-blind for American students!! That’s strange to miss!

hehe like MTAN said, oberlin is need-blind for American Students. So don’t worry curbourfear. if you really like oberlin, i’m sure u’ll write amazing essays for the school and hopefully that’ll get u in. it’s your whole app that counts not just stats
lol i’m still waiting to hear from other schools … and don’t feel bad about being rejected by oberlin
good luck everyone!!!

Oberlin is NOT need-blind for any students, even domestic. However, need plays a much, much smaller role in admissions for domestic students than for international students.

Just got accepted with a free trip to visit!

I got an email stating I was accepted. Just wondering has anyone received the official package yet?

just received the packet.
kind of boring
not even a keychain…

ive heard schools send out tshirts and stuff… boo.

still, im happy about oberlins acceptance :)

just wondering.
people who have received their letters, did you get any viewbooks?

because my letter contained 2 letters and a reply slip and thats it…
im pretty disappointed :(

Oh, you’ll get a t-shirt too. You can see the design here: [Oberlin Blogs | Blog Entry: “Extra, extra!”](http://blogs.oberlin.edu/community/music_theater_arts/extra_extra.shtml)

Also, congratulations :)

Do you know if internationals will get it?

Thanks :)

i still haven’t heard, so I reckon that means I got rejected then… :(

GB don’t lose hope yet! I’ve been told I will probably hear on Monday.

Everyone who decides to come to Oberlin will get a T-shirt! It might not come for a while, though. And yeah, Oberlin’s acceptance packet isn’t super exciting. If you choose Oberlin, you will get a Big Book of Forms which has tons of information about orientation, registration, signing up for housing and dining, Day of Service, First-Year Seminars … pretty much everything you’ll need to get ready for Oberlin.
