C) Something about being tied to nature? (there was a long word here)

On # 3 on Sentence Completion 1st or 2nd reading section, there was one about babies and music. The choices were stimulus, dictum, etc. I put stimulus. Will you guys please verify?!

NoFX, i put D too, but everyone else is saying B... :(... and I was so sure about D too......... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...........

foolonthehill, I wasnt sure if it was D or not. Well, if it's B, i'm ****ed off.. because I initially bubbled that and at the last minute, I changed my mind and put down D, because when I was initially reading the answerchoices, I didnt even read D, because I was so sure that it was B lol

profile. i'm 90% confident no other body parts were even mentioned in passage 1, cept for the mouth which was only in the very last sentence, as a glancing reference to the stereotypical 'oh man mona lisa has a funky smile'.

in that way, i think cb was trying to trick skimmers because you always hear about mona lisa and her mouth, and the painting's magical aura. yet the essays dealt with the the profile and technical quality behind the superstition...

also, thank god for that easy uncle/celibate girl passage, because i was still distracted after the pyramid question. if it were any harder, i would have had to omit a few questions - i could not stop trying to figure out the answer. but i ended up getting it wrong anyway (the answer was m/sqrt(3), not sqrt(3)m/2). i should have omitted, mang.

but blah, i got 750/750/720 unweighted + 6 essay, & 660W weighted last time. my essay's at least a 9 this time, and i probably got at least a 20 point increase in all the sections (but definitely in writing, since i had only two paragraphs and 3/4 of a page the first time) - so i'm happy!

edit: oh, and all this despite my parents getting so effin' *ed that i slept through yesterday. i meant to practice for the sat this time, but ended up sleeping for 12 hours. i'm sorry for bragging, but i didn't even have to study *; the last practice sat i took was four months ago..

edit 2: oops, yeah, it was m/sqrt(2) not m/sqrt(3).

Adding to the mona lisa passage:

Paragraph 1 began with something about millions of people flock to see the painting, in Tokyo people get 10 seconds each, etc. Then the question asks: what would author of passage 2 say about this popularity?

fairly certain it was cultural ties for the africa one and profile for the mona lisa one.
