Yea I think thast what I put collegeofmydreams.

nyjeff> That was another question but I believe that is correct.

I don't remember that question on Thoreau. I thought there was a question that asked what would the author of the first passage say about the second passage? That it was atypical of the way teachers taught it.

i put that it wasn't taught like that by today's teachers

any questions from Mr.sympson passage? actually I liked that one lol. I was like "oh this bi*ch got some nerve"

for the sympson.. first one was how the both had irreconcilable differences.. does anyone remember that profligacy one? was it A something like he wastes his time?

i put something like he does things that are common and beneath him

i think it was the answer about something that he wastes his time

yea I put A too, (wasted a day meaninglessly blah blah).

was the mr. sympson section experimental?

also, what was the girl's first reason for declining the proposal?

I said he wastes his time for profligacy... which was answer choice A, which also contained the word "reckless" which is in the definition for profligacy.

That was quite funny. Questions that I remember in no particular order:
- This passage was about the irreconciliable differences between family members
-In the beginning, the girl and her uncle were compared ("he was irritable/ worldly)and the girl was "romantic" because of her "unconventional and passionate ideas about life"
- The uncle's threat is "implausible, because he has no power over the girl"

Nope... that section was definetly not experimental...

-The Certain Coot66

oh the last question on that passage which asked what would Mr.Sympson and the girl would both agree on. was it that she's not mature enough or the man has to be aristocratic or she wouldn't date a poor undeducated man?

i skipped the question about the girl's first reason

What was the answer to the question "What would the girl and her uncle agree on?" I said that she wouldn't marry someone both undignified and poor. I think that was the last choice.

yeah longislander.. for all four of those questions

Did anyone put down an answer which was about imagination/sensitivity for the Sympson passage...

Overall, from reading this thread, CR is looking surprisingly sweet... many correct guesses on hard SC's!! :D

no. it wasn't.

she said she wouldn't date an uneducated man....so ya that

islander, youre getting 2 of the answers mixed up... it wasn't implausible, it was baseless
