**Official Oct ACT Science Section**

I got the 5 minute notice on about question 27; this was easily the hardest section to me.

I put student 1 and 2 as well

What question are you guys talking about when you put student 1 and 2.

I remember for the question about the amount of miles it takes for the muon to reach surface of earth was above 30 affected all 3 scientists. I dont remember student 1’s study but 2 said it was exactly 30 and student 3 said it never reach the surface of earth

Both student 1 and student 2 agreed that the muon would not decay before reaching the surface of the Earth. But there were two questions that asked you which students said “blah blah blah”. I’m not quite sure which one we’re referring to though.

was muon combined with muon or electrons

Muon (negative) combined with protons (positive)

It’s hard to recall not knowing what the question was asking, but there were several questions and one of the answers was student 1, 2 and 3

I got the proton answer also! Yay for APCHEM!

Does anyone remember the second to last question in the muon passage?
It had to do with the surface of the earth vs something else, and each answer choice consisted of two numbers
Sorry I can’t remember much else about it. I ran out of time and had to guess on that one

did anyone know number 40… it gave the formula and gave points 0,0 and like other points like 0.00025 or something and it said what would the formula of the slope be

and there was another question in the muon passage about charges does anyone remember it specifically??

chris

for that one, it gave u the equation at the end of the passage. It was the slope multiplied by a number.

can we do that weird chemistry one with the solutes?

This science section was really a gift of god. Breezed through it and thought it was a lot easier then the September and June ones. The LED light were the hardest questions on there.

@hwjwill i also put between 1 and 71 for that one

pjdinkley
I was running out of time too. But i put the one where like the distance from the surface of something was 30.

Serbest, can you please write the answers for the chemistry one with the solutes and the muon one at the end?

I can confirm answers with you on the LED if you help spark my memory lol

I also put between 1 and 71.

@starktony to be honest i dont remember them. A few vague ones i remember is the absorption one of white and which has the highest absorption and i remember putting red thats about it.

Anyone else remember anyones about LED, Muons or solutions?

Do you guys know about the one solution density problem where they give you DS = 1.1% and they want you to find like which solution it is or something?

Also, does anyone remember any other questions about LED?

For the muons, there is one where theta increases.

The white light one for LEDs was multiple thetas because white light has multiple wavelengths.

starktony826
I flat out guessed on that one. Was that D? I think it was .66 and 30
