What did you guys put for the Charlotte Bronte and FDA questions, I'm still not sure. -.-

The purpose was to introduce readers to a basic problem in astronomy.

The purpose was to introduce readers to a basic problem in astronomy.

i think i put show how they solve problems or something

that was choice... E?

this sucks...

yeah, and the fact that we're all on CC one hour after the exam is over is also quite sad.. but lets keep on discussing.

It was choice B.

Still waiting for more input on FDA and Charlotte Bronte questions.

well i got the 80 one wrong, probably got the surly one wrong (i put surly). What else did I probably get wrong...

oh crap i think i counted wrong on the sunday one... why do i keep thinking 22.... will we find out what we got wrong, though? ... when we get our score report?

wait, wait...for the car one i got 28
this is how:
of 200 cars, 50% are red....that means the other 50%, or 100 cars, could be green.
Of all the 200 cars, 60%, or 120, are four-door...that means that out of 100 cars that are green, 60 are four-door and the other 40 could be two-door
finally, of all the 200 cars, 70% are alloy wheels...that means that out of 40 cars that could be green and could have two-doors, 70% have alloy wheels, so .70x40=28...
did i misread the question, by any chance? or is the answer 80 like everyone else says?

for the passages about the famous biographer (i forget his name)...what was the same in both passages? i think i said that he was critical of 19th century biographies, but i'm not sure. it also could have been that he was a good writer or......?

i thought the math section was reaaally easy
what did you guys get for some of the math on section 5?
third side of triangle i got 21.1? i think
i did 2^2 + 21^2 = c^2
is that wrong?

i think i got an 80 on math if x^2=y^2 for the last MC on first section

i'm sure there was an error in the fda one, but can't remember anything about bronte. i put E for the aristotle question... does anyone remember the one about "by watching tv ..."

no, I think the car one was 80; too many people agreed on the car one already.

I got 100 green cars, got half of the percents: 60 and 70 and for 30 and 35 for that. So I got 65.

Ugh, I feel quite stupid. I got confused on the stopgap one, and put something else.

I came up with, 80 and wry. I remember the Emily Bronte one I put had no mistakes.

@ rockyraccoon628: was that the one with either "critical" or "unusally good"
if it was, i think i put good writer

@sari: it didnt say 60% of the 100 green had four door, but that out of 200 cars, 60% had 2-doors

sari- out of the door criteria, it implys that there are 80 2-door cars

rocky- i said both authors commented on the skill of the biographer, which may be totally wrong

homie- triangle in equality x + 2 > 21 , 2+21 > x ,x+21 > 2
thus 19<x<23, remember it doesn't have to be a right triangle, but you got it :-)

Any value between 20 and 22 is right for the 3rd side of the triangle. But if it asked for integer solutions, it would have to be 20 or 22.

sari, just because it says 60% of all cars are 4 door does not mean 60% of green cars are. 100 of the 120 4 door cars could be red, and 20 could be green.

Both passages said he was a good writer.

Right now I'm spazzing out over Emily Bronte and FDA. -.-

now i think i made SO many careless mistakes.. i put that the 2nd author commented on how the... imitators... or something like that. choice E.

I got 80 for the car problem.

will we know which ones we got wrong later?

what about the shopping mall one.... i put "said to be..."

i can't believe i missed the parallelism one about salem witch trials - "to intend.... to neglect" damn im stupid
