First time taking the ACT, only prepped for it for a month and raised my composite about 3 points in the span of 22 days. Plan on retesting either in June or September of next year. At least I’m a junior and have time to make it up. And usually I score a 30 on the english, so that was disappointing. Did anyone else find the science section insanely hard?

Hey eyuelabr! What schools are you aiming for? The score isn’t bad, but if you’re looking at ivy-caliber schools, you would have to improve your score significantly. I’m Ethiopian too, by the way.

I have applied to unversity of maryland and penn state and I will just give shot to one invy school I have switched to sat for december my last test among for 2000

Took it for the first time just for the heck of it…
Got 35 composite (35 english, 36 math, 34 reading, 35 science).

31 composite

That’s good enough for me :)

wow i got the same essay score as i did for the SAT

I “only” got a 30. It was my second time, and I prepared really well, and I thought it was super easy…yet I got the same score as I did the first time with absolutely no preparation I don’t know what went wrong. Waaaah. Oh well. It is what it is.

31 Composite

Anyone know what this is compared to the SAT’s? I’ve googled it and found it ranging from a 2040 way up to a 2190.

My school made us take a practice ACT in the beginning of October and we still haven’t gotten those back. I’ll just post my predictions.

Composite: 25-27
English: 26
Math: 28-29
Reading: 22-23…I was so tired and over the test by the time it was time for reading lol
Science: 23…I honestly guessed through this whole section because I was tired and ready to fall out.

I was so unprepared. I didn’t bother prepping. I just did not care and I was half awake for half of the test. I probably actually did way worst than my predictions. I probably got a 19 composite score, lol we’ll see.

Acknowledge the counter argument.

If you do that, and write a decent essay, guaranteed 12. Or at least 11

Composite: 29
