OFFICIAL OCTOBER ACT Curve Thoughts

Wow, I am shocked by my scores.

English - 24 (Dropped from a 29 in SEPTEMBER) I think this curve had to have been very harsh. I'm really upset with my english score.

Math - 28 (DROPPED from a 32 in September) Harsh curve yet again!! I really thought I could have done better on math.

Reading - 32 (UP from a 24 in September, 17 in April) ***?! Reading?!?? I guess this curve was generous???

Science - 30 (UP FROM A 28 in september) I honestly thought I did horrible. So I'm saying generous curve?!? I guessed on the last 7.

Composite 29 (Actually 28.5, I had a 28.25 in September and it rounded down, so woohoo)

So, what does everyone else think??

it’s good to hear reading has the easiest curve because i’m fairly sure i did amazing on eng, math and science

english seemed a little bit tougher this time
im fairly certain that math had a harsher curve than usual

was -1 in English = 34?

looks like science may have had a monster curve

@bronx

what do u think it was?

To be completely honest, Reading & Science may have gotten -1=36 curves and English might have been horrid…

i doubt science had any curve at all… lol
english had a good curve, atleast in my scores.

Science had a brutal curve, im pretty sure i missed 5 but I got a 28

had to be a huge curve - look at the guy above who guessed on 7
I guessed on more than that and had a proctor call time before the last 3 were even filled in. And oh man that was still good enough for a 34!!!
But I’m not complaining.

science had a terrible curve

Reading was unusually bad. I missed 2 and got a 34. Usually that’s 35.

I’m just a little confused about this:
Mathematics 35 Yes.
Pre-Algebra/Elem. Algebra 18
Algebra/Coord. Geometry 18
Plane Geometry/Trig. 18
Based on my subscores, shouldn’t this be a 36 instead of a 35?

this is my first time taking it, but the curves seem like they were pretty standard to me
except reading, which may have been a little more harsh
this is what i think, based on my scores:
-1 = 35 science
-3 = 33 reading
-2 = 34 english
not sure about math because i got 36 but i don’t think i missed any
very happy about 35 composite :D

I lost 2 on English
Gained 4 on Math
Gained 1 on Reading
Lost 3 on Science

Really? -3 = 33. I got a 33 on reading and I didn’t think I did that well. I only got a 690 on SAT CR for comparison.

English must’ve been bad thought, I got a 29 and I got 30-32 on practice tests.

Still 28.25. dghsojg. Contemplating whether I should take in December or not… I’m a senior.

Exactly. I thought I did horrible on reading and I got a 32.

I think that the reading curve was much more harsh on this one than the september one.
I got a 25 in reading on both tests and my sub-scores were:
On September test they were 14 &11
On October they were 15&12
Does this suggest that the curve was more harsh?

And math must have been very harsh! I am pretty sure I only missed 3 but I got a 31
