Official October ACT Math Thread

the cats I think was “114” because under the yes column was like 68 and 46 or something and although 46 was next to a no that no was relating to 1+ dogs

@ vince, it’s the 1/2

it’s def the 1/2 just wasn’t sure if there was an option between >,<

^That’s what I put…I spent a horrendously long time on that question for no apparent reason…What was the perimeter of the larger triangle? I was so far behind I just bubbled in the first thing that looked sensible

does anyone remember the other answer choices to the csc question with the answer 5/2

64 was perimeter

@ph

is that the question with 10 and then u had to find the lengths of the other 3 sides (10, 22, and 22)?

If not, what is that question?

yes u said "Yeah that was a parallelogram question. they gave you one side, you had to find the other three.
I think it was 10, 10, 22, 22 "

So how is the answer 64?

@mabs: I don’t think the answer was 64, it was “10, 22, 22”

the answer 64 was for the question:
if there are two similar triangles one with shorter side of 9 and one with shorter side of 16, the smaller triangle has a perimeter of 36, wats perimeter of bigger triangle

i think

^ Oh, okay. I got that. I think I got -2 for math…so would that be a 34?

Depending on the curve it could be anywhere from a 33-35

Hey, guys~

Can anyone put the compiled list of answers??

Thanks!!:D

very first answer was 1/3

how can you find the parallelogram’s sides?? I put E because there was not enough information. You can draw anything that is parallel and call it parallelogram. It doesn’t have to be same in opposing sides…

because opposite sides of a parallelogram have equal length

Okay…this has really made me feel a lot more confident. I think I got about six wrong. Is that around a 30?

^Probably 30 at the lowest. Could possibly be a 31 or 32

Would that make missing 8 count around a 30? I’m pretty sure I’ve missed about 8, but it could be more :(

Mare_ Crisium… Missing 8 will probably bring you just under 30.
