what was the answer to why some people, like ellis, became famous, while others like morris remained in obscurity? i put b/c morris stopped writing after wpa ended, but i wasnt sure

i think its cause some peoples stories got put in state archives

yes daps 10char

I put “taken by state” or whatever it was

i didn’t get either of those answers (daps and phlpsun) and i crossed off both of those answers right away

i said that they didn’t capture the harlaam rennaissance.

this is because the next sentence in teh passage said. there may be another side of the haarlam rennaissance that researchers have not discovered yet (from these obscure writiers)

lol

asheroth is right

Nope asheroth isnt, that wasnt the reason the ellis was less famous. They were less famous because their writing were kept in state archives

how were they in the state archives if those writings were also in the book The Harlam Rennaissance

the author said that some of the stories from that book became famous, others didn’t

they are all available to all who read it.

I agree…

the article made no mention on if ellis or morris were in the state archives or not

and the line immediately after the fact that morris was not as popular said that there may be anotehr side of the harlam rennaissace that we don’t know about

as a result, they failed to capture the harlam rennaissance

and by the harlam rennaisance, the rennaissance that we know about

can anybody find that passage

the passage said directly that vivian morris DID capture the harlem rennaissance.

no

it said that there’s another part of the harlam rennaissance taht we don’t know about

(the obscure stories)

______________________________-

^ Didn’t it just say that some intellectuals didn’t understand everything about the renaissance? There’s a big difference between us not understanding it and the author not portraying it correctly

the passage explicitly stated that some writers remained obscure because their writings were delivered to state archives and subsequently destroyed

In the question that gave the answer state archive, it said to reasonably infer which of the choices would have been possible. So the answers would have not been found in the text. Based off the passage you were supposed to guess the most logical reason.

yup charile

Stories in archives for sure.

Was it detached or admiration? I was debating: The tone itself for very detached, but the overall message brings positive light to the writers.

I guess I couldn’t get myself to go as far as saying that the author actually admired everything - he reported the information very objectively.

Yep. I am 100% sure it is the state archives one. The question asked what is a POSSIBILIE reason based on the passage as to why Morris is less famous. The passage explicitly stated that some works were not able to reach wide audiences because they were put in state archives. None of the other answers made much sense anyways.

Obviously admiration
