This was a really hard test. The first passage (old school poem about death and children and love) was especially difficult to understand, and I think I spent way too much time on it. I was hoping I would do well enough to make up for my critical reading score on the actual SAT, so hopefully there will be an extremely generous curve--any guesses as to what that may be?
Also, what do you all think of retaking the SAT subject tests? Including this one?

i'm actually considering canceling... i've probably missed somewhere around 8 questions and i'm aiming for a 750... should i do it?

i'm just going to retake in november since yesterday was my first time taking. i thought this test wasn't too bad; for some reason, i was expecting much harder. however, i know i missed 8 or so (probably even more).
i understood the first poem (yeah i have no clue how), but the charles poem i had so much trouble with. kind of sad. i think the 1st poem was the only passage i totally understood. okay, REALLY sad.

hmm -8 is around low 700s. the curve's pretty harsh. so it's up to you if you want to cancel or not. in my opinion, anything above 700 is pretty good already.

i think the first poem was easy to understand only because in english 3 ap we went over a lot of puritan poems and that was kind of similar to them... but the charles poem definitely went completely over my head!

@an0nym0us: I say just re-take them. It'd be a waste of money just to cancel them and the university will take your highest scores. Besides, you might do better than you think you did.
