4.0 UW GPA, 4.3 W (4.5 W senior year)
3 5ās on AP Exams (Bio, Euro, Lang)
Valedictorian.
Private online art/design business, working on contract illustrating/game making for childrenās music education company, student gov. president, some clubs, NHS, etc.
Some competition awards.
I did fill out the gap year question, as I plan on using that year to focus on my art business before I head off to college to focus on my academic career (with art as a hobby).

Congrats to all acceptees! For those who it didnāt work out for, just remember, college admissions are unpredictable, and I hope all of you make it into the school which fits you best-- Barnard or not! Iām sure youāll be happy and successful wherever you go. :)

Accepted from Baltimore, Maryland. Barnard was my second choice next to northwestern. Forget them. My brother went to Columbia, and I may uphold this new tradition by joining the closer-knit, infinitesimally more beautiful Barnard family.

To whose who were wait-listed and rejected, I understand how hurtful this must feel. A few nights ago, I was absolutely crushed and pessimistic. You are all beautiful and I am absolutely certain that you will end up where you need to be. :D

I want to congratulate all of those who have been accepted and give a special congratulations to Prussia ā it is a huge honor and a special privilege to be selected as a Centennial Scholar. I am guessing that the information you provided concerning your gap year plans really piqued their interest ā they probably want to give you an avenue to continue that focus through an independent project after you arrive on campus.

really, really upset. barnardās been my first choice for so long! i spent the whole day crying but oh well. congratulations to everyone who was accepted!! i guess itās berkeley or ucla for me

Wow, calmom, I didnāt even realizeā¦ Iāve had a bit of a busy day and hadnāt really looked into the Centennial Scholar program much yet, but now that Iāve done a bit more research about itā¦ Wow :o I had no idea it was that much of an honor. Apparently there were only 15 of them in the most recent class (as listed on the website).
Iām in a bit of awe. I didnāt think I was that special.
Thank you for the congratulations and prompt to look into it more. I love Barnard, but I didnāt realize they returned the feeling so strongly! I feel very honored. Itās such a great school.
Funnily enough, Barnardās been my fatherās first choice for me ever since I gave him the viewbook. I love it too, but Iām still undecided about everything.
Maybe this is a sign. Hmmā¦ (And that $4,000 stipend sure does sound nice!)

REJECTED, and I live in Southern Texas. I was really down. I didnāt cry or anything, but I was really dissapointed, yet no suprised. Congrats to all the acceptees! Those who were waitlisted/rejected, itāll be fine. This just means Barnard wasnāt in the cards for you this fall. Keep your head up, and stay strong. :D

I got accepted but Iām probably not going because I didnāt qualify for financial aid. I really really wanted to go there and I was so excited that I got in until I read the financial aid letter. At this pint, I almost wish that I had gotten rejected. If this isnāt the epitome of bittersweet, I donāt know what is.
