Official Parents Decision List

sybbie-she took two to the post office today. With just a bit of attitude on her part. She still has 1 to go but it's not due till the 15th and she does have a rough draft done so she is ahead of where she was on the last 2.
I definitely will not want to go through this again. But I am sure I will still 2 to go.

ED Claremont-McKenna

Congratulations Wornoutmom on your child's Ed to Claremont McKenna. They get to hang out with out beloved Xiggi. I am sure if you ask he will give you some insight into his first year there.

My son was accepted to University of Michigan and Caltech ED, and deferred from MIT. He stopped applying after his Caltech acceptance. He has never been to Caltech and will make his dicision after visiting.

Congrats, Toshimi, on the Caltech acceptance. Bookworm's S is there.

Sorry, I met Caltech EA not ED.
Thank you Marite, congratulations on your son's Harvard acceptance.

Son just accepted to Rensselaer... three down, eight to go

Radar, Congratulations. I assume you mean 3 colleges down, eight to go as opposed to 3 children with 8 to go?

Bite your tongue, LoL. Eight more colleges to go. but I will have 3 boys going to college in 4 years....

WornOutMom, I sent you a PM with some questions about Claremont. Thanks. Karen

Everyone stopped posting? Just heard from Case Western, he's in.

Congrats to Radar's son! Anyone have the time or energy to update the full list with the additions?

Our son has been admitted to:

Purdue
Bradley
St. Ambrose
Knox

Waiting on:

U of IL
Northwestern
VA Tech

He plans on majoring in Industrial Engineering. Bradley is the frontrunner right now. Good program and they've come up with $8.5k.yr in merit aid.

S
Accepted ED 1 to Reed
Threw all the other apps away in December
Keeping grades up, but definite case of Senioritis!

ED Parents: Please say you'll stick around long enough to lend your expertise to the agony that is April that we RD folks will face!

Daughter
ED Northwestern

D accepted to :University of Oregon with merit aid
University of Denver 10,000 merit aid
decision-waiting to hear from Cornell, Tulane, Boston College, George Washington and a few UC's
I am glad that I took the advice of many on CC last year and had her apply to a rolling school and a EA school that were safeties. Now whatever happens she has choices.

Wow, loads of new acceptances on here since I last checked! Congrats everyone.

We did follow the instructions to withdraw all other apps after receiving a nod on ED, but UMich just sent son a letter of acceptance - he applied back in Oct to UMich and PSU. Of course, he can't attend. But, he feels good about being accepted to such a great school and being 3 for 3 in his apps. This is the the last acceptance we'll see since he has applied to no other schools.

I'll have to check this particular thread more often as I see it's still going strong with good news :)

I am curious as to how much money from Oregon. My son (in-state) was accepted with a vague letter about $ - a range of $500.00 to $ 1500.00

Mom60,

Congratulations to your daughter on her acceptances and the merit aid at both (especially University of Denver!). Now you (and she) can rest a little easier and, as you said, she'll have some options.

pdxmere,

My daughter was accepted to U of Oregon and received $3,000 in merit aid. Congratulations to your son!
