Don't have a clue. Maybe someone else will help us out.

Searching, four years of high school plus religious instruction in 3 and 1/2 years - she is ready for a break! My D will be casting about for a job, too, as she won't start until Sept. We want her to go on 2 family trips this summer, so it will have to be flexible.

Chinaman, thank you! No, my son is not going to Wharton. He's been admitted to the College and thinks he wants to curate art, but has recently been saying "I'll probably go to law school", which I support......a JD never hurt anybody. :) Even art curators need to understand the law.

Though, my son's GF is all about Investment Banking. She's got it all mapped out. She can tell you what she wants, how she plans to achieve it and precisely what she wants to do with the money she earns (she plans to start a non-profit to serve very young black males). I've never talked to a kid who was more enthusiastic and certain about their life's roadmap....which is why I'm so disappointed that Wharton didn't grab her up. My son says she stops in her tracks on the street just to talk to small children about their lives.

Best of luck to your son and his future in IBanking. I'm rooting fo him and anxious to share in your good news that's soon to come!!

Momsdream, congrats to you and S! I just KNEW he'd get in.

Momsdream: My son did not apply to UPenn yet, he is still waiting his EA Yale results. My son wants to go investment banking so that he may retire early and go pursue his passions. My son will be taking a break from school and will be volunteering in Africa by working with peace corps provided colleges allow him to do so.

Chinaman, when is your son planning on taking a break from school? Is her planning to defer enrollment? When are Yale's EA results coming out? Is that today????

We know a number of kids at school who applied to selective schools early and refused to view their results online or in email. Thus, they are waiting for pony (USPS) mail. Will you son be getting his results online or via USPS?

Dizzymom....I must be the one who is Dizzy as I did not know of YOUR great news either! Wow, there are some fantastic early results here on the parents forum. Many of us have months to go....but love hearing of all these successes!

Sybbie -- yes, and I want to broadcast loud and clear that the coach did exactly as he said he would. He told us up front there was no guarantee of admission, which we understood, as we had been educated on the difference between the Ivies and the schools that "sign" athletes.

But he also had told us that our S was at the top of his "short list" academically and that his previous experience indicated that someone on that list with S's academic credentials was in very good shape. It felt good to us in October, good enough to spend the ED chip on Princeton. Then, as time slipped by with no communication, and I started reading some alarming things here, I got really concerned.

I'm so glad to be able to report that ours was an excellent recruiting experience. Whew. Glad that's over...

Strick, I agree with you. Don't leave us you guys! We would miss you! But congratulations to all of your children.

so exciting. I got addicted last year, and stayed around to hear how these kids doing. I'm sure I'll still check in until May 1

Texas, CONGRATS!
If you have questions about your S's choice, e-mail me. My S is home now. I think there is 75% correlation between those schools, meaning kids applying both. Texas has second highest state represented at C.

Congrats Dizzymom, another person who missed that. Also Pamv, son and GF will be close, but rivals!

Texas, super! wow! A big congratulations.

And Dizzymom, welcome to life as a Princeton parent. With two kids there, I can't speak highly enough about the place. I'm sure your son is on top of the world. Best of luck to him.
