didn’t someone mention that those who did not receive PIN’s were the people who used the common app?

im not too sure exactly what’s going on here…less than a week left to decisions and i don’t have my PIN yet… applied online using the ApplyYourself website for Penn. i.e. Penn’s application

I applied via common app and have yet to get a decision PIN.

ok we’re pretty much all in the same boat… nothing to worry about

guys, MOST PEOPLE DON’T HAVE PINS, there is no need to continue discussion regarding pins until the beginning of NEXT WEEK at the earliest

Did Penn email you specifically or did you use the “need your password” function online?

I still do not have it! both email and snail mail!

same here. i expect it to come in the mail either today or tomorrow or monday at the very latest.

can we please table discussion about pins, being as the vast majority of people don’t have them and it doesn’t mean anything and there’s nothing to be done about it. please.

well theres still another whole week left and nothing really else that is noteworthy to mention

i guess i see your point, i just don’t think this is at all noteworthy either

I’m not so sure it’s not noteworthy. I’m sure there’s some sort of pattern to who has PINs/who doesn’t, as I’m guessing the admissions process is pretty much the exact opposite of random.

I do agree, however, that it’s going to be pretty hard for us, in our limited info position, to be able to figure out what that pattern is. If anyone is able to though, or wants to continue to try, more power to you. I know I personally would feel much better if I knew why my PIN hadn’t arrived yet. There’s definitely a nagging voice in the back of my head that keeps telling me it’s a sign that my application’s been buried in the middle of a rejection pile.

^ I doubt that…I got my pin months ago…before they started to read apps…so dont worry :)

I do not know they are going to snail my pin to my home address or school address…

I think the pattern is that those who applied in january and february have pins already, and everybody else doesn’t

yeah i dont think that’s right. (im a counterexample)

I submitted on March…

Guys, cmon there was a post earlier that said Penn is prob mailing them out beginning of next week…I really wouldnt worry too much about your Pin.

I wish I had the power to block out any thoughts and actions related to the Penn transfer process (such as visiting CC forums at 2 in the morning) for ONE DAMN WEEK (till the 16th to be exact).

In fact you know what I’m gonna avoid this site (or at least try to) till the 16th, good luck y’all, hope to hear some good news when I return.

peaceeee.

Want to take bets on when her next post is going to be?
