chipsnfries: Not at Pomona where like 70% of the applicants are females!

boomboomkrn: Without knowing anything about you, perhaps it was a matter of that elusive “fit.” Although by applying ED you obviously thought Pomona was a great fit for you, perhaps Pomona saw something in your application that suggested otherwise.

Who knows! However, you have excellent stats, and I’m sure will get in some place amazing.

Oops, I know better than to talk before I think.

But really, no one really knows what colleges are looking for, except for people involved in that decision-making process.

boomboom: I’ll sure you’ll be getting into a great place for both you and the university/college (And if that isn’t enough, there’s always transferring =P).

Also, congrats to everyone who has gotten in already! Don’t forget to add into the Facebook group! (It’s a closed group called “Pomona College Class of 2016”)

posting for S

Vikingcliff, perhaps call your admissions rep and ask what you can do to provide the committee with further information? Then send letter of continued interest and either a couple of other references or a supplement of some kind. Pomona has rewarded motivated deferred ed1 candidates in the past!

how do you join the facebook group?

According to S: open your Facebook account, search Pomona College Class of 2016, and then, once you’ve opened the group, click on the tab to the right “Request to join group.” You will receive a message when you’ve been added. Hope this helps!

hey guys. i’ve been accepted to Pomona under ED2. i will be posting my stats shortly. i was wondering if anyone here is interested in theatre. i’ve listed it as my intended major and i just wanted to get an idea of how interested you guys may be too!
hopefully we can put up a few great productions together :p

@boomkrn: obviously, judging from the info you provided you are a qualified applicant for Pomona. Unfortunately, it is so selective that not everyone qualified gets a spot, but with those stats I’m sure you will do very will RD at other schools

The unfortunate part about college admissions is that the majority of applicants are qualified for the school, whether it’s Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Amherst, or Pomona. It really is quite arbitrary at a certain point.

Hey, I know this is slightly off-topic, but when does RD start coming out? Congrats to all the EDers! :)
